Go to 7.2.2, Its 7.1 related.

I spoke with Dev, and they suggested that you try changing the log level in \inetpub\solarwinds\web.config. Find the <threshold value="…"/> line in the log4net section and change WARN to DEBUG. Then try to log in again. See what shows up in OrionWeb.log .

The basic alert engine and the advanced alert engine are really apples and oranges. The basic engine works on objects that the server keeps in memory, not in the database. The advanced alert engine works on the database. It's something we'll have to do for you.

quote:I had what sounds as something very simular. I Upgraded the Orion server to Server 2003. The problem still occurred. For the past week I've been exiting the Orion system managered when I've been finshed with it. I used to just minimize it. It's been better this week. I easiest way to clear the problem was to reboot…

I don't know about the Veritas device. Does anyone else in the community know?

There is a question unresolved. Why does the checkbox I checked on CPU and Memories in List Resources Page disappeared ? I checked it on before, but it will then uncheck automatically. The customer wonder why it happens ... One more thing, it is called Sofaware technologies.

Open up the Custom Property Editor and make sure your yes/no properties all have a value set. Once that's done, try reopening the UnDP. If that doesn't clear up the issue, I'd open a support ticket.

Oh , That it same my problem , if any one find resolve and guild line please reply. Thank you.
-
Sure please see the attached jpg files (page1 and page2). Thanks, Zach

Never mind. Our Dev Manager just told me that the answer is yes. Lotus can be monitored with WMI performance counters. Use the AppBuilder to browse your Domino server and pick the counters that represent what you want to monitor.

All I can say is soon. I can't provide any more precision than that.

&dataformat=XLS Has anyone got this to work with Report Scheduler without having Excel installed on the Orion server? It is my understanding a check is made to determine if Excel exists on the system so you need to burn a MS Office license to exploit the &dataformat=xls option. Anybody come up with a workaround?

I've opened a bug to get the subtitle added back. Sorry about that. We ported the whole website to ASP.net, and a few little (but important) things got missed.
-
It's better to use your thwack id for the monthly missions, but I noticed you are find_able if I search for Terry Auspitz, so no worries.

So the sound will play, which is good. You say it won't play when a node goes down on the webpage of a remote computer. I'm not sure what you're saying, but the alert will only play a sound when a new alert shows up in the Active Alerts resource on the page. If that resource is not on the page or if the alert doesn't show…

You can use admin based on domain grouops, but as Sky noted, you're more likely to hit permissions issues.
-
Then it's of no use actually. I will check NPM then. Thank you.

Yeah, there's no agent-side filtering, and the only manager-side filtering is not very granular (i.e. you can turn off ALL ObjectAudits from being sent to your console/database/correlation rules, but not only certain ones). There is a related feature request (it talks about Windows Filtering Platform events, but could be…

Thank you very much I will try each step and let you know Mark

Thank you humejo, will check this further. About the version, this site has different group with different SW purchase. Rich Client hohoho JOKE
-
Well, that might be a problem with a proxy or something else. The Dev team suggested that you open a Support ticket so that we can get more info.
-
Thanks for the suggestion. As directed by SolarWinds developers, we added VirtualPrompt and MenuBased commands to a copy of Cisco IOS template. NCM still responds to login prompt and again when it sees banner content.

No, Orion does not need NetFlow to produce real time data. The NetFlow module allows users to see NetFlow data in the routers. NetFlow reveals traffic information. Orion can tell you how much bandwidth is being used by an interface. NetFlow tells you how that bandwidth is being used.

mmlciv, sure. I took care of it, so you should be good to go.

Thank you. Those could be enough for my customers at this time. After seeing these images, they would be able to start evaluating STM with their 3PAR devices.
-
Had not, but have now. Monitoring to see if anything improves. Still would like to clear some trunk ports; I'm sure those are giving me false info - is there a way to just delete ports/records out of the UDT tables to stop monitoring them rather than clearing out all of the tables and starting over?
-
Rob, Since you brought it up, what's the holdup with NPM v12? It's been in beta since May. Any idea when we might see a RC?
-
Yep, had to when I made the change
-
Run the installer, and the upgrade file will be run automatically at the end of the install.
-
I would recommend that you upgrade to 8.1. There's a good chance that your problem will be fixed by the new version. If it isn't, we'll be able to fix your problem faster.
