Great idea. I'd be in favour of this after a client's team erroneously added a large number of devices to the primary polling engine rather than their own location's poller.

Not to be negative, but since the AWS Cloudwatch API contains a lot of metrics, why is Solarwinds limiting it down to EC2 and EBS Volumes. For example, I would like to grab my metrics for my AWS Lambda functions.

ZibaK, give it another try now. It should be working just fine.

I think it's time to announce another winner who will get this time a Recover IT USB. And the lucky one is ... joelgarnick. Congrats!

Everyone who voted/is following this thread, we are working on wrapping up a service release that includes SQL Auditor 2012/2014 support. If you're willing to test a release candidate (fully supported), let me know, and in the next couple of weeks I'll hook you up with download info. Thanks!!

It would be nice to hear an update from SolarWinds on this. Once again, there was a zero day being exploited in the wild. Adobe Security Bulletin

I agree, I'm really surprised that's not required. It seems so obvious to me that it should be. Sure people can still enter one sentence resolutions but you can't really help that besides good training and employees. Anyway, please make required an option for us!

I hear you. Didn't draw a winner yet, hoping to find a solution for you guys.

I am using syslog alerts also but only able to send an email. Trying to get it respond on the Orion map with a down sign for the node is not happening. Anybody had more luck or is there a way to get this added in a new release?

I agree. You can accomplish this with making new roles and permission groups but if you want to do this often, then that can become a lot. It would be nice if there was an easier way to do it.

I’ve never heard of impersonated credentials. No, it is just a plain old machine which I am able to login to at will using Remote Desktop using the exact same credentials that fail for the Event Log Consolidator. If you want to see I can create a join.me session Gabor

whoknows, I agree with you totally. If they would restrict the templates based on the "Account Limitations"/AD groups just like they've done with the assigned applications, that'd be all we need. Thank you for your input

I've moved forward in time all my life without even trying. The GOAT is a fairly stubborn character, I prefer the monkey, irrepressible spirit. Calm the chaos, put it into order but remember it always exists just a step away. Embrace that chaos and carry on. Moving forward isn't always what you want, sometimes moving…
