Thanks Chrystal. I actually did get that to work, and it solves part of my problem, but there are 2 issues: Even with the printable option, there is something in the HTML coding that our SPAM filters see as malicious and they get blocked when going to the outside. PDF attachments work fine, but then the techs need to…

Andy, Did you get the feedback you were looking for?

I'd definitely like to give this script a shot. No offense, but has this been tested? I'm a network guy, not a DBA so I wouldn't know if this were the right script or not. As always, I should back up the database prior. Thanks. Tim is one of the Orion Dev Leads, and he made sure it worked on his box, but no, it has not…

Hi again, We have upgraded to SAM 5.0 but still cannot get this working. I don't know if the execution mode should be Local host or Remote host? When set to Local I receive the following error: Add-PSSnapin : No snap-ins have been registered for Windows PowerShell version 2. At line:1 char:13 + add-pssnapin <<<<…

Ahh! You were holding back on me in the APM thread. LOL Thanks for the lead qle.

I just ran into this with my new install of Solarwinds. Yesterday the network team needed to add a network device to Solarwinds, so I had to give them manage nodes access. I had their node access restricted to network devices, so I didn't see a problem with them being able to add/edit network devices. Today, one of them…

Alright, thanks for your reply. I have tested configuration in linux and windows box to check that port, ip address, username/password combination and SSL is correct. I'll create a support ticket from this.

Thanks Peter. This workaround is an improvement but can the panel be resized to show more than 13 addresses in the view?
-
Have you tried doing this via the web in v9?

Hi syncopix, Did you get your threshold issue in 11.5.2 fixed? We updated yesterday and we are seeing a small subset of nodes where they are triggering when tho ${N=SwisEntity;M=CpuLoadThreshold.IsLevel2State} is reported as false in the message. Jon.

Thanks. We'll investigate.

Thanks, Denny! I'm not sure if it's the app...or if it just doesn't recognize that the .net version is a x64 version... Are you saying it's telling you that you don't have .Net installed? If so, please contact Support to get this resolved.

Hi, the resources on the page are configured correctly and I'm able to view them as an admin. Two other users, both admin as well, are not able to view them. they get the messages as in the image. A third admin is able to view them as well.

We have a bug in the web site. It will only use Port 80. We are working on a hotfix, but in the meantime, reconfiguring your website to use Port 80 should fix your issue.

Thanks for the reply.I think i got this.Let me try and i will update the thread.

Tried with both, but all it returns in the email are those lines.

There is a gotcha that pops up, especially with CISCO routers. If you use a route-map or other mechanism to selectively send traffic to the accelerator, you will cause the traffic to be process switched and you will not see it in Netflow.

woudl RTT operations suffice where you are intrested in both directions?

its funny, i asked for exactly the same thing a couple o fyears ago, as it woudl be a massive help. imagine being able to send the rubbish emails that you get from some products and bespooke apps, into orion. orion can then wrap a lovely advanced alert around it, and fire it back out again... brilliant...

Please, each of you on this thread should open a ticket. Collect diagnostics. Reference this thread so that we can aggregate the problem. If there's a bug, we'd like to know about it.

Thats fine. So.. i'm trying to follow your train of thought on your question regarding netstat on known SNMP ports while my problem is on the SMTP side. I'm scratching my head, and i don't follow, would you eleborate on the SNMP idea? So i did a netstat -ao and i have no ports listening on SNMP. So to answer your question…

For the most part, the only data we can put in e-mail is from the event itself, so UDGs are used more for matching than as lookup tables in that way. (State variables are an exception - they can contain multiple elements BUT are not multi-dimensional, just flat lists AND they don't persist over a reboot.) This would be a…

Hmm. I ran a couple of tests and found that they do come back actually. How did you specify to only add “new things”? The only way I could exclude them was to set the Advanced Filter to exclude certain keywords in the Interface Alias. Unfortunately this setting isn’t saved with the Discovery Job so it can’t be set as a…

OK, i have had to kill off the config wizard on the 3rd poller... the other poller upgrades woudl not proceed as they thought the wizard was still running, so i have had to reboot the server. I am now trying the upgrade on another poller... I need a break from this, but have 30 minutes left of my maintenance window, which…

problem is solved. After selecting the settings to allow 64-bit snmp counter thanks.

Why was it necessary to disallow editing from the System Console? Having it in both places was causing a fair bit of instability. System Manager is going to be removed entirely as we move forward, so that's why we eliminated it rather than spend considerable effort to try and make them work together. System Manager is some…

The problem are the SMS. They will be sent by a directly connected device and not via an email gateway. So, mail distribution lists can't be used.
-
Thanks Donald. We originally had it local only, but one of the troubleshooting steps had us change it to poller bound. I just changed it back and that unfortunately did not resolve the issue. It was worth a try.

bshopp , I am forwarding only audit logs, yes , i will build a filter rule in the near future, the log wouldn't probably get lower but will stay steady

I would like to disable the nightly database shrink. We want this only to be performed during our own database maintenance plan we run weekly. Thanks. Our database maintenance does not actually include a DB shrink. We do have that stored procedure there in the event that someone wants to run it themselves, but the nightly…
