If the problem persists, we would need diagnostics. To get diagnostics, go to: C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Orion\SolarWinds.Diagnostics.exe Run this executable and send a private message to me with the diagnostics attached. That'll help us troubleshoot the problem.

We have prepared fix for this bug. If you need it working before next release is out, please open support ticket to get this fix. Thank you. Excellent, I'll do just that :) Thanks for the update Jase

I did see that thread but it kind of jumps all over the place with all sorts of different problems. This is how I got my first set of different things to try. SNMP was the first issue brought up there, which I do have working. The only thing I see which I can't determine how to do is to set the HTTP redirection for an…

Things change quickly over here. I've been put back on the Solarwinds project. This is the updated script : Option Explicit Dim WMIService Dim VMList Dim VM Set WMIService = GetObject("winmgmts:\\HYPER-V_SERVER\root\virtualization") Set VMList = WMIService.ExecQuery("SELECT * FROM Msvm_ComputerSystem WHERE ElementName =…

"has changed" is explained here. From the doc: "Note: The has changed condition is only valid for the Last Boot, IOS Version, and IOS Image Family device characteristics."
-
Oh - I like that!

Which version of NPM are you using? Have you looked at these instructions? www.solarwinds.com/.../wwhelp.htm

Just wrote this and it seems to work nicely (figured it might come in handy for us too at some point): Might not be exactly what you want, but will give you an idea. It basically gets the source, runs a SHA1 hash against it, and then compares that hash to the one passed as an argument (the one you expect it to be). If…

Thanks for the reply. I didn't explain this well, but the remote registry service is not stopped when this error happens. It never stops. I have to keep restarting it and the pollers show up fine, and then I'll check back later to see them red with the registry denied error. I check the target server and the service is…

Yeah, I think your biggest risk are things like events where the SIDs/GUIDs get posted into the event, and those SIDs/GUIDs need to be translated on the local system for them to come across as full account names and not raw SIDs/GUIDs. The event log reader that LEM uses now locally does this translation in real time. I…

HI, Just for information :-) I have had the same issue while installing a test version of 10.2 on a 2003R2 server . I have tried to repair the services without success. As my server was not up to date with windows updates (.net for examples) I have applied these updates and re-install 10.2 . It finally works so I suspect…

Thanks for your response - the server reboot seemed to clear my inability to access the Advanced Alert Manager-Configure Alerts section, but I continue to see errors on SWJobEngineWorker2.exe in Windows Event Log, so I am attempting to repair the service...

Thanks again Lawrence, how do I see where the management group is hosted? I have also noticed that the patch manager console was connected to Site A from Site B - Right Click 'Patch Manager' > select 'Connect to an Application Server' I have changed this to Site B which has speeded things up.

See, while upgrading is painful, it does come with some rewards.

Count me in too, both editing the names, and re-ordering within CPE and be able to set order in the CP Resource View.

Thanks. I knew NPM wouldn't have one since you can customize and add MIBs to it, but I figured the Toolset apps might have something. Hopefully someone has seen something like it before and will respond otherwise Wireshark it is.

yeah, i will second this request... I live inside custom properties so would actually like them improved a little.. 1. ability to rename columns... not sure how this is done in SQL but i am sure there is a SQL command, if not, a script that exports, deletes, creates and imports automatically... 2. re-arrange the custom…

Hi David, I've responded to your email with the SWDEBUG.LOG. I can't find 'SolarWinds.Orion.NetFlow.Migration.MigrationDatabaseHelper' in the swdebug.log. -Pete

Hi A case has now been opened with support. The product is working as it should, its just the license info on the portal and on the License Manager that's not correct. Thanks for your assistance. Regards Jason

Where are the email templates, I can't seem to find them

Yeah, I think the usage of DPI on the SW side is pretty new, and primarily from a network perspective, not really addressing any of the security use cases yet. Maybe someday. It would also be cool to use NTA/Flow data that way as well, kind of a first step early warning system of potential network issues that are harder to…

Hey Kris, We do support the PA events, this specific case was unresolved because it turns out the firewall wasn't sending the URLs in the syslog data to begin with - we're not sure where on PA's side the problem is, or if it's firmware-related, so there wasn't a really good conclusion on this specific issue. As long as PA…

Okay - i'll give this a go tomorrow and let you know how it goes.
-
It should be in C:\Program Files\Solarwinds\Common Is it there?
-
Thanks. Casey says we've reproduced it and it'll be fixed in SP1.

Ignore me. I was selecting netflow network wide resources instead of node options......

I would also love to see a report that compares the most recent running vs the most recent startup configs. The dashboard feature works well now, but I don't always remember to look at it. An email waiting in my inbox every morning would be great. Thanks!

I got the message when trying to start the system manager. The splash screen comes up and then bam. the message occurs. Cannot find naem23ms. Now fast forward 24 hours. I get asked what did I do to fix it. nothing. It started up on its own taking it's own sweet time. Doesn't give me warm and fuzzy feelings for any future…
