We are planning to support thin APs next year some time.

Hi bobross- You said: Component Down get rolled into an Application Alert. Could you please demonstrate this, in a general way, so we can understand how you did this? Even after a year with this tool, I still struggle with Component-level alerts. I and the list would greatly appreciate it if you could elaborate on this.…

Mav, any further questions?

Dean, We will be adding "get table" support for our custom MIB poller fairly soon. Would that get you what you need for Brocade switches? Also, which models are most important to support? Thanks, Denny
-
We never added in our SAN storage so that part is good to go. Wouldn't I need to remove the STM from the separate machine it is on and install the SRM with Full SQL?
-
Perfect! Thats done the trick. Sorry, dont know how I missed that!

I might have to change the funcitonal_group to prod and non_prod. But ops and prod are both alertable. I have 3 other functional_groups I cue off of for non_prod, dev,qa stage, etc. It seems the new way I have it works so far

I hear ya. Thanks so much for your response and insight with all of my questions.

I located the correct version of the setuphelper file and ran the command, however, it was in the Console directory, not the Server directory. The following appears in the log: Reprovisioning EminentWare Server with PAS called ProvisionSoftware and succeeded 2012/10/09 13:10:52:373 PID: 6808 TID: 5276 Reprovisioning…

I haven't visited this in a while but when adding: [A-F0-9{8}]+ this broke bandwidth 1536 etc lines from being recognized as a config change. So going back to comparison criteria, I was "told" that it uses VB6 processing engine for the REGEX and is not consistent with the new .net engine that NCM Compliance Rules use. I am…

Having another problem I don't understand. I'm writing a Cmdlet to 'mute' a given node, as well as it's connected interfaces. So, I get the NodeID of the node the user provides by name or IP address, then I do the following query to get the InterfaceIDs of said connected interfaces so that I can mute them too. "SELECT…

Yes, with face comfortably in palm I got that. I found another example in the doc which showed that my Uri was correct (and thanks for the tip on getting those btw!). I'd have sworn that number was correct, but once I found another that was definitely correct, it worked great. Thanks for your patients and help. -Scott…

I would rather not have another certificate to manage. How would I set this up without adding a self signed certificate?
-
Hey Tim, That did it! Seems a bit .. inconsistent though, doesn't it? I mean, given that Acknowledge needs the column names/values pairs and all. Thanks, Scott

I hope the next installment of the APM will have more "user experience" monitors. (DHCP)

Hi Send me your email and I will am about to do this type of thing in the next couple of weeks as I want to populate any Nodes that are missing my custom data and I will share the SQL proc with you Kind Regards James

And yes, I know it is a "very old thread," but still relevant.
-
I don't see any on my span ports in latest version. NPM reports span interfaces as down for me.
-
It'll be in the first half of next year. I'll be able to provide more detail as we get closer.
-
Yeah, that didn't seem to change anything.
-
The credentials didn't change themselves, but we're using an entirely different driver now, so the ODBC records should be pointing to the new driver instead (when you install the new version of reports, it should recreate them). Vendor code 210 is specific to the old driver, which is why I suspect something is stuck on the…

Essentially, yes. As I mentioned, I've heard that there are 'mini-versions' (or whatever the official term is) of NCM running on both of the NPM servers because it has to, but our "main" NCM server is now one, rather than two, which they did for several reasons. I can get you those reasons later today if need be, although…

In case any one else comes across this issue this is how we fixed it.... I re-ran the configuration manager for the uptenth time but this time only selected the APM and job engine services. Now some of my APM's are coming back on line. The ones that aren't I am toggling between Default -> submit then selecting the service…

I just added that. I had to rename the attachement to .txt.

Same experience here as well. It usually takes around two weeks to get a response from them. I am having issues with Network Atlas and after an hour or two on the phone with support the guy couldn't figure it out so he told me "Network Atlas is being overhauled" and to just wait it out. He gave me some strange work around…

there are 11 Citys totally. it will be huge of the data, so i want to separate databasees.
-
Well.... I still couldn't get that procedure to work so I went through the admin guide one more time looking for an answer. But, the admin guide didn't have the answer either. So I opened a ticket with the SolarWinds support folks and they sen me this link to their knowledge base.…

That is definitely part of the problem - however every time I defragged the indices, some were over 90%. Personally, I don't think high fragmentation should be a critical problem for some databases - just a warning. The database still works fine, it's just performance is slightly down. I've just found it's possible to…
