This issue will be fixed in APM 2.5.

Awesome, Thanks Jiri! Rookie mistake. Any thoughts on why the transform values aren't working?
-
Yes, alert frequency runs the query. I read your original question to say that you wanted to get re-notified hourly if the alert were still triggered. That's what alert escalation does.

Are you able to see this section on the lower right part of my reply?

If you consider yourself to be network engineer (analyst, admin, consultant), why do you monitor servers in Orion today? In small sized companies there are not necessarily a distinction between network engineer and Server Engineer. We have a small fairly simple network infrastructure. What we have abundance of is servers…

Sweet! Mischief managed. :)

If you have 8000 routers, you probably should be using Orion rather than Toolset. Toolset is a limited desktop solution. It was never intended to scale to the size enterprise you are describing, and from what you're saying it sounds like you are running headlong into those limitations. Take a look at Orion - it's more than…

Any update on the feature request (case 69428)? We also would like to have application show degraded status if a single component is down.
-
We are planning to add this resource, but I'm not m not sure when it will ship.
-
Yes, and it is reported properly in other Netflow products. The example is your two hour canned timed frame. I just checked a 15Min Ingess. Same problem.
-
Thanks Tim! We'll follow your recommended steps. Since those customers had already attempted 9.1, I was hoping since we're still at 8.5.1 there would be a way to recover the Remove option for AM in Add/Remove Programs rather than fiddling with the registry, removing DB tables and Orion files.
-
Bryan, You should definitely have been sent a note. That is normal procedure. The support rep made a mistake. We are re-opening that ticket. Apologetically, Denny
-
Tim has fixed it in the code, but I'm not sure whether we'll get it in a SP or the next release.

Almost 3 years and two major releases - That must be one hell of a map! It is. We have a lot of customers who ask for a lot of stuff. We've added a lot of features over the last few years, but we've got a lot left to add. Our Orion system spans 12 time zones - is this something we should see or has it been shelved? Not…
-
What do you mean by local time zone for each device?
-
Freeha, It depends. If a lot of people ask for something, it can get moved up into the next release. If it's the first time we've heard it, it's likely to take longer.
-
is there any way in the transform equation to reference a particular table line You want to average pollers within a single column of table? If so, that's not possible, but we're going to add it.
-
Sorry. I can't provide time frames beyond "soon".
-
I agree. Great idea/feature suggestion jspanitz!
-
This really doesn't address the need. If you build a NOC view for a 60" screen The idea is at a glance to be able to take in the health of the entire environment. This obviously means different things to different people but in our case it would illustrate core and distribution uplinks as well as a a few graphs for…

Thanks again for your help it's appreciated. I could be wrong, but I don't think this can be done when connecting to SAP ECC, but can be when connecting to SAP PI. Anyway, we're trying to set up monitoring of our SAP ECC applications from Solarwinds. Is there another way to connect or integrate with SAP ECC Netweaver 7.02,…

I mis-spoke. You need to monitor WMI counters on the print server, not the printer itself. I'm not sure if it publishes the stat you need, but that's where you'll find printer stats. You can get more detail about WMI and printers from here.

what possible problems might be during upgradation?? I want to prepare myself completely before upgradation so that i can handle the situation in case of any problem during upgradation. So kindly help me if any one knows. I'll be thankful.

To chime in here - some of the logs are covered in a very generic way, just to get the most common data in to LEM. Effectively, there's some generic normalization that makes it easier for you to get data in without having to have a connector built. However! You can submit requests to either a) create a connector for that…

I also had the issue where I upgraded to NetFlow 3.0. Had Solarwinds support online earlier today and got the hotfix to get past the Netflow install = < > problem. Netflow config ran OK after the hotfix. Netflow service would not start as it said " License not valid". Support had me delete the old Solariwnds.net keys in…

We have the same issues in NPM 10.2. It is impossible to bulk edit intefaces as the column width is not wide enough to view the full interface names. This must be such an easy thing to fix yet it still has not been done..... I am nervous about exporting/importing whilst people have access to the console as it will take a…

Hi Yann, I originally tried doing this, however, the way I'm checking the alert is different. I have a HTTP monitor setup where occasionally, our application will throw an error. Our load balancer unfortunately does not detect this error and restarting the web service will correct the Web Get. I've already posted…

Gerjan, Please open a ticket. We've had a couple of tickets, and although the symptoms may look the same, the cause is not the always the same. If you open a ticket, we can get more detailed info from you. dcl

Well based on the release notes for ver. 1.0, I am not ready to install this product.I can't see how this could be "production" ready when it has a memory leak.I am going to wait till SPx or a new version before I install this on my production SLX server. If SolarWinds made this available to work on a separate server that…
