It's not in v10, but I can't tell you when it will come.

Questionario, I've been trying to create an Advanced SQL report to pull the poller info posted above but it is generating duplicates. For example, if the stack has 2 switches, the report duplicates the 2 switches 3 times. I can't seem to figure it out why this is happening. I'm no SQL expert by any means. If you or any SQL…

I am just now addressing the spreadsheet issue at my work. Yes, it is 2013 and we are still using spreadsheets for IP tracking... Anyhow I am also making the case for IPAM as using Excel is driving me nuts. We already use Solarwinds for nearly all other needs, so why not this?

Do a search for SNMP trap forwarder, you should find plenty, free or dirt cheap. Send to it first and distribute everywhere else. Pretty sure you can do it with Splunk also. I don't think the free Splunk demo is time crippled so as long as you don't keep the messages on that server, should be fine. If you're 'NIX savvy…

I seriously disagree with you. I went from zero solarwinds experience to full SCP certified, in less than 6 months. I used no professional training, no professional services, and nothing more than is available in documentation and on thwack. I've used several monitoring systems before and SW is pretty darn easy compared to…

It seems to work but doesn’t return any results and I know I have a couple nodes set to be unmanaged over the next couple of weeks.

I ran the query through SWQL and got a response, although it looks like it took a while (17 seconds). The curl request worked as well, and responded quickly: PS C:\Users\user\Downloads> curl.exe -k -v -u <username>:<password>…

i have 4 additional pollers, and i was one of the idiots who bought APM for my additional pollers only months before Solarwinds made it free.... don't think I have ever felt so sick LOL

Of course it looked the same and when I tried it again it worked... I agree picky - thx mark.

Just curious...If the custom MIB poller supported "Get Table", would you being to get what you need?

This is a 2008R2 server. The regular OS patches are showing up no problem. I can even use and deploy the Office patching using the customer lists, however I NEED them to show up in the view from the Windows Update Scan. I have cleaned up the server and checked to insure that it is correctly talking to the WSUS server...…

Hello, Actually, we were testing in lab so we began again with virgin VM, installed NPM 10.3 and finally installed NPM 10.7. Hopefully, the procdure you found will work for you but I assume you will have to repeat procedure for all SolarWinds compoents. Cheers, Al

I need something like this as well. I have a Windows Powershell Script component that I'd like to add ~30 instances of to a single template which I would then like to deploy to several nodes. I have worked around this by adding a single Windows Powershell Script component to an application monitor template and then…

The lowest uncompressed setting is 16 minutes. You could try that. Uncompressed data is really the big space hog. Cutting it down from an hour should help. However, I'm guessing that it's more about CPU and Memory on the server than retention settings. If the NetFlow receiver doesn't have the resources it needs to execute…

I also have both and pretty much agree with Dave except I think Netscout has the better, easier to use, and more flexible interface as far as presentation goes. It's also proactive vs reactive especially with Analytics on top. You can also get packet level inside VM world with Netscout, and turn CISCO ISRs into probes.…

Interesting use case. We may have a different solution for that case, but I can't say anything just yet. What else?

Soon is the best I can do. We're not allowed to specify time frames.

In addition to logging logins/logouts, I'd also like to see username logged in events when administrative changes are done (adds/deletes nodes/interfaces/volumes, manage/unmanage, or when a configuration setting is changed). And, it would be nice to be able to search/filter on the username within Events page too.

jstuner, Please open a ticket so we can collect more info.

There's no limit that I know of.

I had a similar issue. I was not able to view custom reports on our webserver but they did work on the NPM server which the Report Writer resided. On the webserver I also got "Invalid Filter" error. The fix turned out to be manually copying the file: C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Orion\OrionReportWriter.Schema to the…

I don't see why not?

Ok so now that we've addressed Matt's issue - what about the one that started the thread ;-) Re-install of the website - no change. This was a clean install of 8.0.1 upgraded to 8.1.

not sure what the "Flow Correlation Service Started" has to to with Netflow maintenance, but thanks!!

I removed all of these monitors and created them again to get the output fixed. However it doesn't seem that I still get any proper chart. Hopefully that will be fixed once I have more dots to draw. That multiple statistic chart still shows output as percentages, I wonder whether I can force it to seconds somehow.

Someone named Justin Finley reached out last week he is a account executive. I described the issue to him and I also gave him a techsupport zip file, I haven't heard back from him since

Hi there thanks again for the help... just checked and confirmed that there is no firewall running on the WSUS server, and no firewlal running on the customer-network located AS. there is nothing betweee them ont he LAN either, so we should be all set unless there are servcies not running that i need to check on the WSUS…

Miron, what a thoughtful list.. very nice

Ok. I will check at first opportunity later today.

Ok.. I am a little early but hey.. whatever.. Just a friendly checkup just about a year to the day. Has there been any progress on this? This has always been needed. On a side note. It would also be helpful if you posted the release date next to the patches available for download. In the short term this may be very helpful…
