I am pretty sure this is not the case because if you have something polling lets say every minute and then set up an alert with a 5-10 min delay that would mean that the poller stopped its normal polling due to this setting in the alert. This means if the alert is fired and fixes at any poll cycle in the delay then it will…

OK Looks I just had to keep banging my head against this and eventually I've gotten it figured out. Thank You very much neilmborilla for pointing me in the proper direction.

I don't have anything working. It looks like the MIB's are not loaded in Orion. I have the Storage Processor responding to SNMP queuries. It also looks like I need to get the compiled MIB's from Clariion Engineering which means I will need to open a suport case with Dell to get those MIB's. I am not to interested in the…

I'd like to be able to import my devices from orion, or be able to piont it to the orion device database for deviec propogation. Basically almost anything but have to manually enter hundreds of devices over again.

Awesome, glad it worked!

I think the minimum bar is just allowing each individual webviewer to select what they want to see. A configuration dialog in the web console that retrieves the available policy reports and let's the user select which ones to view or not view on the console. Allowing them to select entire groups with one click would be…

Is it too much to start actually putting the version name on the package line? Instead of Orion NPM Polling Engine v9 SLX why can't you have Orion NPM Polling Engine v9 SLX SP2 or Orion NPM Polling Engine v9.1 SLX? For complex, but boring reasons, our back end systems don't let us do that for the package...yet. We're going…

ive run into a very similar issue with a few scripts that use powershell. I don't have a screenshot handy, but the problem is usually in the template that credentials are set to "none" instead of inherited form the device. Hope that helps.

Jim, for all but the first label, midnight should be the middle of the label. I totally agree that it's not clear now and hard to follow. That's one of the reasons we're adding the gridlines. They make it *very* clear where things line up. Craig, you'll want to run SP2 on your Additional Web Server also to bring it up to…

I've checked now. That ability was never part of the product. Adding it would be a feature request. I'd be interested to know if anyone would want to use it if we add it.

A support case is the easiest way - they'll give you info to upload to Leapfile or equivalent. (That also makes it easy to get notification when it's done)

Any chance this will be customizable in the future? Or is there another way to monitor DNS response other than just an open port check on 53? Having this hard-coded limits use for monitoring external DNS servers as they should be set to Disable Recursion as a best practice to prevent DOS attacks.

Does any results for monitoring the SqL error logs

Hmm... I verified in the connector it's parsing that 20150528.163102 to create a timestamp (it reformats it to 2015-05-28 16:31:02), so it's weird that somehow it's being timezone adjusted. Usually that'll happen if the LEM appliance is in a different timezone, but then I'm not sure why InsertionTime in general is correct.…

It's still planned, but it's not in 3.0 or 3.1.

...Doubtful. Attempted install on Server Core in test environment. Requires: - .NET Framework 2.0 Redist - C++ 2008 SP1 Redist buuuhhh....I know I'm not the only one running 2008 Server Core for Hyper-V.....

We have confirmed this active response works fine - if you ignore the warning (and everything else is properly configured) DetectionTime will be written to the specified file. Make sure that you have the "Append Text to File" active response configured on the system you want to use it on, double check the rule and the…

Have you checked your account to see that you have " Allow Account to Customize Views" as "YES"?

Can you post the case #?

I would like to be able to control what goes ino this view and this would ultimately be the list of stuff I actually care about. Great. So what are some examples of how you would divvy stuff up? What would go in and out? We need to understand to figure out how we would provide a control.

No problem. I've updated the Oracle Database Growth alert page to reflect this information. Thanks.

We just received a request to change the SNMP port for a particular server. I tried changing the port from 161 to 50161 but System Manager won't apply change permanently. Changed the port number to 50161, clicked on Validate SNMP button and returns 'Node Validation Successful', clicked Apply Changes, then closed panel.…

Other NPM 9.1 features are documented here: And the Release Notes given even more detail:
-
Yep, there it is. I was expecting them to show up when I selected the node and those fields would show up in the Node Details pane. I didn't think of going into the node to edit it since I populated the fields from the custom property editor on the server.

I'm not sure how the vendor chooses the order of their columns.
-
There's not really a "normal timeline". Some feature requests are done fairly quickly, some take a longer. You shouldn't expect a turnaround of weeks or months. We have to schedule a feature for a particular release. The one you are asking for is one we've heard many times, so it's on the radar.

Thanks for the response. I posted in Getting Started because on the upper left of every page it says Newbie? Get Started >>. That seemed applicable to me so I clicked the link then clicked on Start a Discussion on the right of the page that loaded. Seemed like the logical thing to do. But I guess the Start a Discussion…

Works fine on Firefox 11.0. Guess Thwack prefers the better browser Thanks Jase

There are a number of issues with the configuration wizard that break with Windows 2008. It simply won't work. Trying to hack it is a waste of your time. We expect a 2008-compatible version out in the first half of this year.
