We do plan to make the modules hide-able via account limitations. We're looking at whether it will be in the next release or the one after that.

Denny, I found that response slightly offensive. I was simply stating that I posted a similar question to the one that CaptainOrion had posted in another thread and he did not get a response. I don't think I invited that response, especially from a member of the solarwinds staff I'm really sorry. I wasn't trying to be…

Did you have any luck with this? Looks pretty close. Also do you have a way to filter this out of your other devices node details? Thanks!

I suggested this capability somewhere around the dawn of time. Its hard to have an application that can meet everyone's unique needs but this one is pretty straight forward. I was shocked when i first got involved with this product about 4 years ago and found I had to enter everything manually. It makes sense for getting…

It would definitely be optional. If you need it, it's great. If not, it would be a bug.

OK, after a while of the progress bar seeming to hang on the next poller too, the install seems to have gone through on the 2nd poller upgrade. I have no tried to get into system manager to stop the baseline to stop the database getting hammered, but it now hangs too, and will not load on any server i wonder will this be a…

I was thinking this might be the Web Interface to System Manager. This would be really really useful as we're a hosted services network and have numerous customers being added daily; term serv is just painful for 30+ engineers to add things. Too bad this isn't developed yet!

It would seem that only physical addresses of the ASA are supported in that required MIB. Looks like a very deliberate choice to not supply all of the information, so I'm unsure if Cisco will add support. I think UDT being able to map Mac addresses via DHCP bindings in IPAM would be the best work around for the lack of…

Good, I feel much better now. Thanks Josh!

You can create a new application template called "Terminal Services" and add a monitor for Port 3389 and add a monitor for the Terminal Services service. Apply that template to the target server and you'll have a new Terminal Service application which will be up when and only when both the port is available and the…

Not sure if it matters but our database is stored on a different server. After I had sent my privious post I realized that everything, other then my reports, came over to the new server. I'm back and running at 100% now.

Have you opened a ticket? This problem is not something we can really analyze on the web.

Ciaran, Good constructive points. On NCM's web console in particular, I think you'll be pleased with the next release. If you're interested in beta testing, please let us know, and we'll hook you up. You ask whether we intentionally ignore enterprise customers with new products. No. We listen to a broad array of customers.…

Does NPM or any other services need to be shut down prior to running update.exe? There is no details on installing the service pack in the readme.txt.

OK, I am getting really close. Now I need to add between the hours of 8 AM and 8 PM. Anyone care to take a stab? I tried to add a condition for 24 hour clock 0800 and 2000, but it is just not liking it

On the other hand, we never did get the steps to reproduce. Many bugs can only be reproduced at customer sites because they involve interactions with specific environmental variables. I'm glad you opened a ticket because we can figure out how you reproduced the issue and possibly collect diagnostics from your system.

This may work for you. It works for our Aruba controllers with thin APs. Create an Advanced SQL report in Report Writer. Add this SQL. Set ParentID and Available fields in Field formatting to Hidden and set Status format to Icon and Icon type to Status. Then, go to Web console and add 'Report from Report Writer' resource…

We want to have it early next week.

Yes jagle you are correct but the toggle does comes into play in some instances. I would expect no difference if collecting both in and out flows an all the interfaces of the node. The collector will see a flow record from the device for both the outbound interface and inbound interface making Egress=Ingress Imagine Device…

I think you're trying to get it to do things pretty far outside its intended purpose. If you need more specific help, you should contact Sales and get a Sales Engineer involved for more hands-on help than we can provide on thwack.

Still unsupported in 9.1.

If support hasn't already contacted you, can you run the diagnostics utility and send them in? You can find a shortcut to the diagnostics application on the Start Menu. It is in SolarWinds Orion\Advanced Features\Orion Diagnostics. Thanks.

This feature is scheduled for the next release of NTA.

Database writing with the current SNMP poller isn't optimized. As I've mentioned elsewhere, we are working on a new poller that does bulk inserts, which we will be rolling out slowly and carefully across multiple releases over the next few releases. Now, some of the statements above are incorrect. While the main SNMP…

When setting up the IronPort device in NPM, what SNMPv3 Context do you use? The IronPort documentation lists the username, but no context. Is that just blank? I can't find it in the documentation or any hints as to where to look for it.

Thank you for advice. I tried to disable the firewall client with no positive result. I tried to connect to and from different machines. I even have disconnected computer completely from the network and I tried local loopback. Connections are only established when the “Permission required” setting is disabled.
