Let me chime in here as well.... I know that Denny is aware of my frustrations with using the current EOC user administration tool. We have had several emails regarding it. I am not sure where it stands in the next release but user management as it exists today is cumbersome and a pain. I have to maintain 4 EOC users…

Ok, will do. Thanks Jiri.

See my answer to your same question in another thread.

Is V9.2 available? It's not on the portal...what's in this? There is no 9.2. Andy meant 9.1.

Here is the code I added to the ASA config. logging message 605005 level notifications logging message 113012 level notifications logging message 113008 level notifications logging message 611101 level notifications Thanks Colin

I detailed the permission changes in another post. It's the permissions on the website through the IIS management snap in. The SP3 thing is from a long time ago back in the 8.x days, step one does not really apply anymore. What I was encountering that required the user permission changes, was that standard users did not…

This would make NPM, APM & VoIP Monitor consistent in their look and feel. Me three! I agree with NG and aLTeReGo. We've had to add the same customization. View options should be standard form for all graphs across all Orion and associated modules.

Jason, Jiri is right. I misunderstood the problem; if you're not polling any OIDs, you don't need SNMP.
-
Let me ty to that and when I inform you the results. Tks.
-
I hear you, but so far it's just the two of you. I value your opinion a lot. A whole lot, actually. Still, I'm looking for other voices.
-
where are the new pollers? are they on the download page anywhere? I don't see them.
-
It's not planned for the next release, but it's still on the roadmap.
-
Thanks for the update. Looks like I need to update soon! It will be my first upgrade to NPM. Hopefully its a smooth process.
-
I tried the same OID in our lab (although I don't have that same device), and I get offered Chart and Table, but not gauge. You should never get a gauge for a table. Can you post screenshots?
-
Try re-running the configuration wizard. That fixes the problem for a lot of people.
-
Nevermind just read down the documentation.

Syslog server is configured within LF as a FQDN, both name and IP ping successfully from a command line. As of now we are only sending system and security events. yes, 1 entry from last week in the SolarWinds.net event log, an error re: the configuration log not existing but would be created ( I have confirmed it is now…

Just wanted to follow up - we're still investigating the issue, but one thing our QA team found that SEEMS reliable is to enable ALL fields. You might try that and see if you have better luck in the meantime.

Ah yes, it says current database is Configuration Manager, however it does not mention a SQL server name. Aleast now I know ive been analyzing the wrong database for space issues. I do notice in the database manager there is another server listed when I try to expand it says cannot connect. Since NCM application is not…

Well I'm tired of calling support, I talk to them every time solarwinds releases something. And I dont even know if this service pack even fixes my issue. thanks but no thanks not to happy with this product at all!!!

I think I am following you now Denny. On the top ten page I clicked on all the individual sections to launch a new window with just that data in it. One of them does take a long time. Its a custom chart showing total bandwidth over the last 7 days in 24 hour intervals (7 bars). The others load very quickly. I pulled that…

Dev has asked if you could do the following: * Turn up the log level on web.config * Open a Support ticket with the log attached
-
Oh, indeed. Liking it helps as well, so that if other users experience the same issues, the know they can trust the solution. Thank you!
-
The map on the demo site uses custom HTML links. In the next version of NPM, it will have a new mapping tool, and unless something slips, it should show applications on the map.
-
The SNMP monitor doens't offer "Get Next" as an option. That might be the problem. If it's not that, we'll need a Support ticket to delve into it further.

The more interfaces a resource has the longer it takes to load the page. Servers take seconds. Large switches take minutes.
-
Woohoo! It's not often I get to hear that from Brandon. :) One other thing that wasn't in my last post. UnDP's assigned to Nodes use the node stat interval. UnDP's assigned to Interfaces use the interface stat interval.

Denny, will NPM ever be multi-threaded? I'm thinking of licensing/hardware/complexity costs, whether NRC or MRC and how that might attract new or on the fence customers.
-
rob/steffen... Try that post. Every time I run the CW I have to go through those steps to get AD integration / windows pass through to work again. I also ran into the issue where some resources had their 'edit' button removed because of the permissions not being set correctly.

What was the issue? Path or credentials?
