I made a few little customizations to the website- which is what I was asking about, and why I was asking.

OK, just as the SW support centre opened, I managed to get it working.... all pollers upgraded. i did get a bit of good news though, i just found out from SW that Sp1 for 10.1.1 is included in the download i took down last night, so i am actually, by a miracle, complete inside the maitnenance window by 1 minute LOL... 

I was directed to this post to add my name with everyone eleses for multiple pollers in one chart.... This would also be a nice feature for us.....

I was looking to disable multicast polling. Per Support, this is how you do it. DELETE FROM Pollers WHERE PollerType LIKE '%multicast%'

The polling is set for every 180 seconds on nodes and every 240 seconds for interfaces. Is that status polling or statistics polling. For status, that seems fine, but if you're polling that often for statistics that often, you might be pushing your system for limited benefit.

I assume NPM=System Manager. We are going to add the ability to add and manage nodes from the web console. When you do so, you will be able to add custom properties to those nodes. The strategic direction for Orion is to make administration web-based. We have no plans to add this functionality to System Manager.

Usually we configure AD to connect directly from the LEM appliance, but you can try configuring it on the agent. If you go to Manage > Nodes, then select the agent on their network, then select System Tools and add a new Directory Service Query Tool and configure it, that might work.

So you know the time of the Orion server, and you know the time of your local browser, so why not just do the time zone math while setting it?

Hey for now we also have to use vpn for every customer.. It isn't possible right now to monitor multiple nodes for 1 ip but they are having a look at implementing this if I'm not mistaken then you could just use the external ip and us port 161 for firewall 10161 for server 1 10162 for server 2 etc… greetzsasuke
