I too am having trouble getting topology data to work too for all our nodes. Some data seems to get populated but most nodes show nothing or only partial data. We have 1500+ routers and switches. We also have 3 pollers. Do you have to run a Sonar network discovery for each poller? In regard to the import, do all interfaces…

FYI for other readers, we do have someone working directly with Chulbert on his server.

Dear all, I'm also looking for alarmpoint integration for orion. where did you get xml file ? thanks a lot :-)

I may have found part of the problem but I am unsure of the configuration of LEM. is there a way to communicate via phone?

meena, Support will be contacting you. We think we need to see your server to figure out exactly what's going on. dcl

Not sure exactly as I snagged this report from another user mgibson. The query gets it data from the Events, nodes and interface tables. Did you look at the query? If not I can post it here for your viewing.

I would love to see this. In the meantime, can someone here provide the SQL code to do the date comparison? That would be awesome! Thanks, Mike

I saw the same thing when I tried to run it from the Report Writer but when I ran it from the web it worked fine. Have you tried that yet?

Very strange - do you have any other rules that use Agent Online events? This would be weird and is a long shot, but one place you can look is under Manage > Appliances, then click the gear on the left next to your appliance and do Policy. Navigate through Internal Alert -> Internal Info -> Internal Agent Online and make…

So if you buy a Rolls Royce, you can actually sit inside it and turn on the radio to find out if it's raining outside. Hmmm... Bruce, I understand that the suggestion won't solve your problem if you don't already own APM. However, for those readers of this thread who do own APM, it is a solution until we are ablto add…

I am having the same issue but I do not see the link for NTA 3.7 HF 1? Can anyone share that with me?
-
Ah, right, of course. How about the body data, did I get that right?

I want to clarify what Mark said. He explained how to implement View Limitations. What I think you need are Account Limitations. An account limitation will constrain which devices and which interfaces a user can see. There are no easy ways around an account limitation. You should use View Limitations and Account…

Bundle of thanks for your kind help......

Update... I just used multi-edit for some VLAN polling changes. Wasn't too difficult to group them. No were near as easy as NPM v9. And... I selected edit, made the change. All seemed to work. But it made NO change to my interfaces. When I do the same change on the individual interface it works. Still damn slow, but it…

What we are working on now is a re-do of the Map Maker. It will have considerably more functionality than the existing Map Maker, and it should address the use cases that are currently drawing interesting in Weather Map.

Yes this is when I hit the first page *after* I log in as admin/(none)

I am able to Unmanage the node via the web site interface. So, I went into SWQL Studio to try what you suggested, but I don't see the Verbs with the pink icons like you do. Since I got a copy of the software from my boss, it was never "Installed" on my computer as much as simply run from the directory it sits in. Could…

No, but that would be a nice feature to have more flexablity in the Nodes with Problems resource. (Feature Request..........) agreed

I get this error now after installing the full oracle client software on the solarwinds server. Any ideas? Exception in Oracle provider: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation., Inner exception: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
-
Your problem is that you're assigning it to interfaces. Assign it to the node.
-
Ran it again, only SNMP discovering, still doing the same thing.

Hi Emil, The development team got back to me already: "Hi Rob, here you are answer from our PM posted in similar issue: Since NPM 10.3 Advanced Alert are not triggered when Node goes unmanaged. In case customers needs to trigger the alert when Node goes unmanaged, they should explicitly set Basic Alert for this." I am…

Hi all, I was about to start a thread about this very subject. I need this functionality also. we need the VoIP module to be able to take over from Fluke Response Watch and similar tools. it would enable us to have everything in the one place using the NPM base. I would really appreciate a full update on where Solarwinds…

I've confirmed with Dev that it's a bug. Not sure when we'll get a fix, but it's in the queue.
-
So I can submit a support ticket for this APM template? I already enabled the logging.
-
We do get a lot of feature requests. A lot. It's my job to own that list. Almost anything you request today has been asked for before, probably years before. We can't do them all. Or, we could, but then we'd have to hire a host of engineers, and the price of the product and the maintenance would go way up, which is not…

Will try the LAN migration and see if that helps. Thanks for the assistance

Sorry for the late response. I have recently worked on an SQL server that had CLR installed but not enabled. Enabling it seemed to do the job but we later got an error message during the Solarwinds install saying that a restart of the SQL server was necessary. Like others have suggested, this caused problems as there were…
