I still have the same issue after SP2 with the custom poller. Please open a new ticket so that we can get diagnostics. We need to make sure SP2 is properly installed, and if it is, we need to see if you might have a different problem with similar symptoms.

Not sure what you mean by "importing". At this point, I'd suggest that you open a support ticket and reference this thread.

I got it to partially work by forcing the poller to use the LLDP oid available. It appears that a firmware difference from before ruggedcom was purchased by siemens works, and post it doesn't automatically. Forcing it gets general information and is somewhat reliable. I can send in some exports if needed. Bottom line we…

I've had a little bit of luck removing the policy map from an interface and re-applying it.

Thanks. Hopefully it will be coming later this year then??

Hey Karlo The only way I could make the children be marked as down is if I us SSH script monitoring for that (which marks the component "down" because the script not running results in "down" status. In which case I guess I wouldnt need this dependancy stuff as the monitoring of the child processes wouldnt be done via…

this will make me very happy when i see this... had been noticing that there are states that can not be accessed on interfaces and nodes and have really just been waiting for an anouncement that we could start using them.

Drum up business? Why would I waste time for the benefit of another company? I am simply comparing products. Yes, I agree I do not know much about SWI and this is to my point, it should not take a 479 guide or a lot of training to do basic alerting. From the we b interface of NCM I have to login the server hosting the…

issue is that our LEM server was created with an IP address in our DHCP range, when rebooted, the IP address changed. Thanks for your help.

If maintenance costs are really going up this much then I will have to rethink this product too. If I am going to be way over budget (I add 15% to existing costs for the next year) for this then I may as well bite the bullet and migrate to the product our administrators use for application monitoring. I must say I was…

That's exactly it Steven. The '01:30:02' to represent 1 hour, 30 minutes, and 2 seconds is what we are looking to have. Thank you Steven, you narrowed it down to the point.

Using the "User Name" field basically uses any field a user name could appear in, generically - whether that's Source Account, Destination Account, Logon ID, and various others. So, performing a "User Name" = "*beep*" account may match quite a few types of events and quite a few different fields, but that username should…

You can go into Settings and go to "Monitored Ports and Applications" and choose to Monitor All Ports. Once you do that, it'll show the port number for unknown apps.

Hey Tim, I'm back! And as it turns out, they never got this issue fixed here. So, they got me back on it and I saw your post where you correct the Uri. Problem is, that doesn't work either. (Kept getting 404s) Apparently it's actually…

It's still on the radar, but it's not in NPM 10, and we're still shaping what comes next.

Thanks superfly99, I just wanted to transfer a sbin file to the switch for call manager express..Cisco..this seems to be for updating/uploading switch binary file... On Thu, Feb 14, 2013 at 12:20 PM, superfly99 <

We've done a number of things that should help your particular case. We made some changes in the job engine in NPM 9.5.1 that should make it scale higher. More importantly, APM 3.1 introduced a first-class event log monitor so you shouldn't need to use the script that you were using. It was the heavy use of the script that…

Doing that now, thanks! This is going to take some time.... I appreciate all your help. This is a good start.

Does the GroupName field in one of those sample alerts match the criteria? Maybe we need to tweak the rule. [Auditable Group Events].GroupName = SG-*Support Maybe the GroupName doesn't contain the group? Does DestinationAccount or some other field? Or maybe GroupName contains it in the DN format and we need some more…

The patch will be soon, but I don't have an exact date.

Would it be possible to allow the weighing of nodes differently? We can make it configurable to show mixed=yellow vs. rollup worst, but you're asking for a completely new feature, which is not an option in a service pack.

Thanks for all of your help mrs. allterego! I've got it now! I was in the place..........I'm good to go now!

pleeease get customer input before you implement web-CPE... it could be a complete disaster... modifying hundreds of nodes at the same time, with varying details is one of the few legacy features i use all the time... turning it into a web tool could very well destroy the product for me... i agree it has to move there, but…

darkshooter, you should probably open a support ticket on this one.

Good call. Make sure you're using a custom property to identify the critical devices. For that matter, make sure you're using one for the email address. Not many folks know that you can drop ${Node.Contact_Email} in the To: field to make it dynamic. Where do you set the ${Node.Contact_Email} property? For our field…

This should be fixed in the next SP, which is due very soon.

They e-mailed the fix to me, but it did not work. I'm still seeing overly high (more than 100%) utilization numbers. Rick

Hello, I work with General Dynamics. I have been trying to compile the DISA STIG into NCM with no luck and was wondering if you all have any new developements towards this? Thanks Darrell

Hi i remember seeing an option to import the NodeId from NPM into NCM if you setup the DB import from NPM to NCM schedule job. I have not tested this yet, but this could be what is needed to keep the two insync, as i have configured my current import job to perform a merge on the sync between NPM and NCM. I would be keen…

sorry mate but the multiple lines are because the custom poller results are from a set of rows from a single poller, not from multiple custom pollers :-)
