We expect to have a Release Candidate for NPM 10 in weeks, not months. RCs can be run in production. Once we are confident of the RC (which is about quality, not time), we'll GA. So it's reallly soon, but we can't be more precise than that.

We are going to try to lock this down more in the next version of Orion. It's in the queue to be fixed, but I cannot guarantee whether it will get in the forthcoming release or the one following.

We're trying to chase down this issue. A few people have had it. When we look, we see it in the portal. When the customer looks, it's not there. Try this. Log into your portal. If it's not there, try CTRL-F5, which will clear your cache. Then see if it shows up. That would help us test a theory of why folks aren't seeing…

OK, I can click on the (LOG OUT) after all. Was this an intentional addition to the menu line in 5.1 I wonder? -Debbi We added it in 8.5.

One question: Why did the previous OID (1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.5) test OK in the UnDP? It hard to say why since you had that OID pointing at an interface.

This bug is fixed in 2.5. If you have the time to check out the Beta (which is actually getting close to a release candidate that could be run in production), you could help us verify that it is actually fixed. You can sign up for the Beta here:

After upgrading to NPM 9.5 I also upgraded to NCM 5.5, creating a new database in the process, restoring the data into the new database, running the integration app on NPM, I still receive the same error. I've also tried to create a ticket on the support website, but have not received a confirmation email with the ticket…

I meant to add this thread: That fixed the adding credentials crash, though now it's error above. Again, fully working 5.1.1, not going to rebuild it just for this piece.

I think we should have a section of Thwack where you show the top 10 touble makers, i.e. those that ask the most questions, those that ask for the most enhancements and changes LOL... I fear i might hit the top of the latter... ooops.... then get one of your techies to write a game where we all hurl virtual tomatoes at the…

Fantastic, I know how to get around the AlertMessage field by customizing the trap and I've gotten that to work. Any ideas on the NodeIP field (looks like a subnet mask?), or the rest of them that aren't populated the same way? Really all I need is the IP to show up in that field, I can do the rest. I know this could…

We expect it later this year.

Sorry, which problem? What's the issue? Could you post a screenshot?

I think there's a mis-communication. As far as what Orion does and doesn't support, I'm the authorative source. To my knowledge, MSFT didn't change SNMP support in Server 2008, and we didn't change anything. You're obviously having issues, but it might be something correlated with your Windows Server 2008 boxes. Are they…

Hey juniordev, Thanks, but that's the 'v2' way of doing it and I'm trying to use the v3 / REST API way. Unfortunately there are plenty of VERBs that are not documented so I have to ask them whenever I need to use one of them.

I'll open a ticket and we'll look into it.

Glad to hear it!

Sarah, We ran into issues with the site as well (we're doing pass through authentication via AD) and had to initially give the Server\Users group Modify\Write access, restart IIS, check the site, remove the permissions, restart IIS, then check the site again. Running the configuration wizard breaks all of this of course…

I do have one question. We are in the process of moving off SQL Express and our SQL server gods are asking if we need a SQL CAL or a client CAL? What does NPM require? The server we are moving to is currently supporting another SQL application. I just want to make sure there is nothign else from a licensing standpoint I…

I tried that in in my 8.1 install and it gives "Unknown Property". If you can give me something that will work in 8.1, I can investigate further.
-
I had this issue back in February when we upgraded to 8.0 I'll see if I can go through my E-mails to find anything that Solarwinds may have mailed to me on my case.

Do you have an access list filtering SNMP to/from the device?
-
Greg, Which pages are slow? For a slow page, can you click on the title of each resource to see which resources load quickly and which load slowly? dcl

648 posts and finally I'm right about something. It was bound to happen eventually. I look forward to being right again on my 1296th post. Thanks Denny. I thought you'd enjoy that. My wife told me I was right once. I still savor the memory.

Hi Shaulis, I think so... But now what? How do I, for instance, get the result of the stored procedure in my Ignite Report section?

It's interesting how most of the people in the forums agree that the node status change was a terrible idea (me included) and yet Denny loves to remind us how this was requested by the majority of users. I'll believe it when I see Agreed, most of folks on this thread don't like the change. But, as you might imagine, we…

Howdy all, This thread was just brought to my attention. I'll have the dev team take a look first thing in the morning and see what's up. We may end up needing a little more data(diags if they haven't been gathered, a row of data from Traps and TrapVarBinds that contains the data, and in the worst case, a PCAP of incorrect…

Okay, I got all three steps completed, but I'm wondering what the number 25 is as that is what I got back from the third step. HTTP/1.1 200 OK Content-Length: 2 Content-Type: application/json Server: Microsoft-HTTPAPI/2.0 Date: Mon, 05 Jan 2015 22:15:10 GMT 25 -Scott

Don't forget that you need to do this as an alert suppression, not a trigger. Sub-conditions are evaluated first. If you have an "all" condition, then if every sub-condition is true, then it'll evaluate to true. If you have a sub-sub-condition, that'll be evaluated first, and the sub-condition will be true only if the…

Whoops! Duh, of course it shouldn't have NOT enabled. I accidentally left that in from a prior revision when I was looking for the file's existence. With that change, the installer runs when it should based on the version of the DLL file. So now the problem relates only to the flagfile. If I have the applicability rule…

How many interfaces do you have sending NetFlow to Orion?
