That sort of thing is exactly what I was talking about and would indeed love to see. There is now so much data at the disposal that I think you guys can in reality come up with an additional module just for problem resolution being for both proactive and reactive problem solving. I say an additional module because I think…

With that off everyone can get into it. When put back on of course the same error occurs.
-
Yes I think 2 gauges on the same page would be great.
-
Well without trying to sound sassy most of it. If I had 100 nodes to put in it it would be fine. But I have a few thousand I want in it not to mention the thousands it finds I do not want. This is how I think it should work. I know there are round about ways to do this and I have tried and they are painful and error prone…

Netflow bandwidth is pretty nil. The only issue you might have is how much bandwidth would be used at the head end where the collector is considering your large number of exporters. Also that is A LOT of netflow. You will need a VERY beefy SQL and Orion server (basically as much as they will let you spend) not to mention…

I would think by the lowest level of communication to be sure that it is indeed an offline device. So by that thought process then just ping. But I think what would be nicer is if you had options. Here is an example. Device Age Out Options Age out Device after [] Days/Weeks/Year Check for device connectivity through [] SSL…

Is it possibly being poller by a poller you did not install UDT on?
-
I had this same issue but ran a repair to fix. Is this a Solarwinds deal or some 3rd party app? I am trying to find the source of the issue.
-
Just my opinion but importing subnets or pulling them from a seed router would be a home run for me. I have well over a thousand subnets. Putting those in manually is not fesible.
-
Yea I saw those. I am just saying I have been running some of these chassis's for a year without this issue and literally a few days after NPM 10 bam I have 2 of them. One of the was running a very recent version of code.
-
I have the report problem as well. I pretty much cannot run any at this point.
-
While it does indeed have 3 ways to group one of the simpliest is one of the best. If you set grouping 1 to Application template and the others to none it looks like this which is awesome compared to 2.5 APP TEMPLATE --------NODE NAME ---------------------SERVICES/PROCESSES/ETC

I am happy to see so much though goes into Thwack, it's not something I expected to be honest. Now I will partially disagree with you I think that any post should have some time limit on it and if no one in the community answers someone from support should. But that's just my thoughts on it. I do find Thwack a useful took…

I should clarify my statement a bit more. I did not mean to say that every new feature is an issue, just that it occurs with more frequency then it should.
-
SolarWinds, is this something you are looking at doing soon?
-
Currently there is no trending however this is something several of us have asked for so hopefully it is on the road map.
-
That is perfect thank you!
-
No I am looking at top 25 interface error counts.
-
No I have not and thank you.
-
That to add somrthing to the template. I want to add existing monitors to the template. For example I have 5 servers all with different services to monitor I want under to the same group.
-
Is it just me or is that a hoakey way of doing that? Should the tool you pay for not be able to skip the middle man?
-
This would be a positive thing for sure and I could use it as well but honestly I would like to see more focus on the current tool in general before time is spent on adding function. I rather have 2 wrenches , 1 for standard and 1 for metric, that work well on their respective types than 1 that works only so-so on both.

Believe it or not I found that using the Sonar built into NCM gave the best results. You lose some details (like serial number) when importing from the toolset sonar. So with that said if when using it you could tell it to only import say machine type XYZ or vendor ABC would make the discovery prcoess that much better. I…
-
No all that does is import IP's. There is no column to import to called SUBNET or SUBNET MASK otr anything even close.
-
Well to be more specific... There is a big difference between "supported" and fully compatible. Are there any issues or extra considerations when running 2008? To be even more blunt, it is easy to run this on 2008 or is it a pain in the butt? The last time I tried it, while it was supported it was a pain in the butt and I…

That it says "Juniper" instead of "Cisco"??????????? Sorry could not help it :P
-
No there is not and it just about defies logic. I have complained about this for some time because it is a hole in your monitoring. A poller goes crazy and you are now blind to thousands of elements even though the rest of Orion is running fine.
-
I forgot to mention I think it should be called DPM, Database Performance Monitor. Profiler should be renamed to SPM, SAN Performance Monitor. Just my 2 cents.

I have the same issue and am still fighting it along with others. To this point so far I have just been told to rerun the config wizard or reinstall the web site.
