Nope, but in general, these should help you keep a leg up on these attacks. Hence patching and upgrading to resolve known issues. ~Dez~

So much yes right here! Especially being able to have a program to backup and move to a location.. Thats pretty simple to accomplish, am I right?? We are working on better ideas and concepts for evaluating even having images etc available to download. Mainly, know we are listening and this is definitely our time to "lean…

This is why I stated "as in what google will tell us" Bug behind Google Docs phishing phrenzy was discovered five years ago! • The Register Simply put, flags can be dormant and hiding then come alive later... This is also why I state there is not a 100% secure infrastructure. However, if you've had a warning of a threat…

Thank you! I at least try to keep it as honest as possible and as much info as I can "legally" have within, lol.

Thank you! I'm in red team training now with INFOSEC so I'm trying to help everyone as much as I can along the way If you have any topic of suggestions please let me know and I'll get started! ~Dez~

I should clarify and will rewrite above! This is after you have a conflict or write up on a current worker. I'll adjust and thank you for bringing to my attention! ~Dez~

100%! Thank you for adding this into the arsenal! ~Dez~

This is where a a NCCCM software will come in handy by allowing you to compare config's also to verify what was changed. being able to also trigger events via Syslog or Traps is a way to setup additional alerting.

Currently we do not have that service available, but there are outside of SW providers of this type. I for one would like to be on that team SW team because planning, integrating, and training is my favorite parts! I'll make sure to let the support team about this request as its not the first time I've heard this being…

NCM is only going to be able to download configs via SNMP, Telnet, or SSH. More info: https://support.solarwinds.com/SuccessCenter/s/article/NCM-config-download-basic-requirements?language=en_US I hope this helps! ~Dez

https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/Success_Center/NCM/Content/NCM-Creating-and-Editing-an-NCM-Account.htm WebUploaderThis role has read and write access on network devices. However, if an approval system is enabled, this role cannot change device configurations without Administrator approval. There isn't a role to…

I would think that would be a great idea and thank you for the assistance in the changing and testing of the template. Thank you,
-
Since Cirrus is still not fully menu driven only in indirect transfers, and we have to use the templates that Cirrus currently using. The timing out cannot be prevented at this time on a template by template basis. We are moving to try and have Cirrus fully support menu driven this is just the first step towards that move.…

Try this only in the template commands section: <Commands> <Command Name="RESET" Value=""/> <Command Name="DownloadConfigIndirect" Value="2${CRLF}8${CRLF}4${CRLF}config${CRLF}${StorageFileName}${CRLF}${StorageAddress}${CRLF}"/> </Commands> Thanks
-
This would be a global change. There is a precommand delay but it only applies before the login so that would be of no use. Thank you
-
Awesome. Ok that verifies how the devices works as well we were not able to test the template until you all have helped so this is useful to see. On the timeout issue Try to go to File>Settings>Network> Telnet settings and increase the bottom telnet connection timeout see if this helps the situation. Thanks
-
On your template did you remove the "Reset" Command if not remove this and try to re download. Answer to the "q" the person we were testing with said his called for this value. So that can be removed and the ${CRLF} that follows. I am thinking that the Setting of the terminal length etc is just added noise and since giving…

Ok, for the smart connector to not be placing the devices either tells me we are missing the connection. follow this: https://supportforums.cisco.com/blog/12919231/self-service-onboarding-set-solarwinds-ncm-provide-data-smart-net-total-ca… Make sure the physical addresses are the the same as if they are not then the…

Try to go to the iis manager then expand websites right click on the SolarWinds website and go to Properties. Once there go to the Home directory tab then press the configuration tab> then click the Option tag Make sure that the enable session state is checked. If it is not then check this and apply then close and restart…

Also this was in Test track as an issue with the SQL password having a special character in it. This was in SP1 I see that you have SP 2 installed can you re apply the SP2 on teh server and see if this resolves the issue. I will also grab the case once you let me know the number so we an work through it over the phone.…
-
Do you have a case open at this time with support? If not please create one and post the case number. I will grab the case number and we will setup a GoToMeeting to see where the duplication is occurring at and get it to recognize the information service. ~Dez

I believe Jeff is trying to get a webex with you but in the meantime here is what I would check. 1. Do you have system descriptions within NCM 2. What version of SNMP are you using 3. Have you logged in here to verify the inventory: Cisco.com Login Page (smart net login/portal) Thank you, ~Dez
-
I gotcha you are looking for example alerting you can use with NCM properties in general. Like Jiri said we have NCM capabilities within the core to be alerted on and there is ways to get use alerting with NCM properties. This would be a great topic to show as well! I'll see what all I can come up with here and let you…

Interesting now I am really wondering about the database since the previous gentlemen stated his is showing the correct information. Unless there is a version difference producing different outcomes... I looked the NHRP MIB up on Cisco and noticed it works for different IOS'. I wonder if the version between you guys is…

This is isually an issue with SNMP daat being retrieved. Does the right say "partial" under the SNMP column? Thanks, ~Dez

The MIB database is available. The Cisco tree is restored. Thank you,

I am sorry not the NCM credentials. The administrator account for the Server that it is installed on. A user with Admin rights or power user put that in as the credentials. The resource is on the Orion page and using the IIS users to access the folders on the server. So you need a windows server user that has admin rights…

Not rude at all just honest! They are working on the useability so I would check out any LEM opportunities to work with our UX team to help hone in its interface to not be so daunting. ~Dez~

That is only available to go to the 2020.2 as it uses the new foundation ~Dez~
