Sorry...reading a lil closer, the first document you pointed to should answer my question. Thank you.

Could something be put in the Alert Trigger to pull that and send it in the alert email? I'ma go looking. Thanks!
-
I just upgraded everything to the latest, to see if it would resolve issue, but no luck.

Appears SolarWinds is reading total memory as less than is what is really there. Any was to correct this?
-
Yes it is.
-
I don't want to block the trap in 'MY' SolarWinds, I want to block 'THEIR' SolarWinds form reaching my router. I am not looking for what SolarWinds listens for, I want to know what it sends out to my devices, or at least this cisco router.
-
Is there a method for this to report for just a few interfaces on two devices? Thx, Dave
-
Not sure if this would work for you...But I have Outlook installed on a pc the analysts monitor our system on. I have a rule in outlook setup to pop up a New Item Alert window. That pop-up will not go away until an analyst acknowledged it.
-
Could you give a little more detail on how to do that? I'm a bit of a noob w/ SolarWinds, and been reading tons. I have several interfaces, on two different devices I'd like to set-up. Thanks, Dave

Yes, the service is still running. I don't know of any changes made that would affect this. I'll look into that more. Any way to tell, without having to wait on others to reply (not on Thwack, here at work), if that is the case?
-
That is close to what I am asking for. That is showing what is polled/monitored. I would like it to show all, then indicate what is polled/monitored and what it not. Like, what box is checked and which is not in the pic.
-
Don't think so...how do I tell for certain?
-
None that would open notepad on the SolarWinds server.

Sorry, been so long to reply to this...been put on many other projects. Maybe I should clarify what I'm looking for. After much reading the last couple days, I believe what I am looking for, is more of an inventory list that give whats being monitored (interfaces, volumes, etc.) and what will alert for that node/interface.…

Doesn't this, in Orion Thresholds, do that? I've been asked if we can alert on similar to below, but even if it is at 25% and spikes, but does not spike above 50%, we'd like to know as it starts to spike...Does that make sense?

It worked for me.

Found this in the web console settings page. "Setting this value will add Percentile Annotation lines to Traffic, CPU Load, Memory, and Response Time charts. Set this value to 95 to display 95th Percentile annotation lines on Charts. Set this value to 90 to display 90th Percentile annotation lines on Charts." Wonder if you…

Ours should be reading about 25% usage, but SolarWinds is reporting 95%

Found another way, that might work. In report writer, could select Total Bytes Transferred by Interface. In the select fields tab, select the appropriate field, than change timeframe. Once that is completed, execute, then import to excel spreadsheet. There you should be able to turn the data into a chart.
-
I believe you could navigate to the interface page you'd like info on, and click on the total bytes transferred button, then in the drop down for view options click customize chart. At the bottom is chart data. It's broken up into transmitted and received. May be an easier way, but I can't think of it off the top of my…

I am configuring a number of cisco 2811 routers with hwic-3g-gsm cards I've been asked to find out a way to get the radio signal status/levels to show in web console Has anyone else achieved this & if so, would you care to share? Thanks, Dave

Also...When adding the node, and I click the 'Test' the node shows Available.
-
Try Custom Pollers> Custom Node Pollers> Poller Name then "is equal to" 'BatteryLastReplacedDate' or whatever the PollerName is. I got that name from the screenshot above.

I'm having a similar issue. I am monitoring the temps of all our routers. When I click on one temps to get a chart of that routers temp for the last whenever, I get this same error. I have the latest service pack, even done a repair to fix another issue. Have any ideas? Thanks, Dave

Well...after much back and forth, and insisting they're dept had nothing to do with this...our networking group found a access list error in our firewall. Not sure how it happened, but another node started reporting the same issue yesterday afternoon. So we started digging and found the error. All's good now.

Also to note...Node details page show 100% packet loss while the interface I'm monitoring shows up, but no utilization info.
