Status Update: Well, this upgrade has not gone well. As Local Server Admin: I have backed up my database. I have downloaded the software and initiated the upgrade. The package installer goes for about 7 seconds then quits with no error message. Opened a ticket with Tech Support. Deleted the package and rebooted server.…

I have a ticket open with them right now and have been working with them on the issue. The backup took a bit to get done due to server admin issues (not Solarwinds). Just thought I would put out a word to see if anyone else had same problems and a resolution. I tried the install package again, then waited for 20 minutes…

Awesome, I will have to look into that. I am sure they are going to make me leave it on there, but at least we can point to a possible cause of the issue. Next is to find what HBSS is blocking, make adjustments, and continue on.

Just started working with NTA. I configured the above on an Cisco ASR1004. I do not see any received Netflow on my NTA Summary page. I do have the device and interface defined in NTA but no traffic.

I recently went through an upgrade from 11.5.2 to 12.0 but had to upgrade incrementally so it went from 11.5.2 to 11.5.3 to 12.0. I have several packages and had to increment them as well. 

I would like to try the dev assisted install. I am in Germany until Jan 20 then back in SAT. I will contact Serena to setup and schedule. Thanks, Eric

Was wondering if we could get these packages upgrade to the newest versions of Software. The Orion Installer Package has a hard time pulling down the required Software over my WAN links.

Does not look like you have solarwinds admin rights. Just off the top of my head.

michalB‌ come to think of it. The account I am using on the SW Server for administration is good, but the machine I am using Network Atlas is running may have some firewalling/HIPS blocking the specific process. I will have to look at that in the morning. thanks,

I think I will getting on the phone today. My IPAM is having serious issues with "hanging/stuck" scans and my client is getting impatient. 

I am having issues go from 10.6.to 10.7. I do the database backup then the wizard quits. I will look again for a side/obscure link.

Still looking for the right report that will provide a list of chassis devices (Cisco 6500-4500) with each line card and the per port usage of each line card. I could count them by hand but with the amount of turnover, refresh, personnel movements, I need something a little more dynamic. The above reports did not quite fit…

Is this a persistent problem? Go to your services menu under computer > manage> services and make sure all your solarwinds process are started. Or you can go to start > programs > solarwinds > service manager to see if everything has started. Then try to re-run the configuration wizard.

With all that said, Solarwinds provides us the ability to monitor these others to make sure the world goes round and round.

The installer package does not agree with the UAC slider. Some of the .dll files do not execute properly. I disable it for installation then reset it once I am done.

Did you set the User Access Control Slider to off? 

Can you provide the server OS version, SQL version, and SW product versions?
