domlock You will need to configure all your endpoints with SNMPv3 preferably or SNMPv2. Then add the list of IP addresses to solarwinds via Discover Network. I would start with that. Which Solarwinds Products are you using?

What are some of your tasks? Immediate? Short Term? Long Term?

I know it may be a mute point, but have you thought about upgrading to NCM 7.4. I have used Palo Altos in a previous position in Solarwinds and did not have to many issues with them. Granted I was not using Solarwinds to do everything for me, but was able to automate some things.

Can you please provide more detail about your issue such as screen shots, troubleshooting you have done, or what have done that may not give you the expected result. Thanks,

michalB Account limitation are good. I checked that earlier in the midst of tshooting. Deleting the entire column of Custom Properties for each issue will be problematic but if it needs to be accomplished so be it.

From time to time I have issues with the SWISv3 and SWJEv2 services. They can be very temperamental at times. Most of the time I will start/stop services to resolve, then I will do a reboot of the system clear the issue.

ikomrad, I hear you. I have similar issues with permission. I am trying to leverage AD and SW to give me the granularity that I need to have people do what they need but not affect other groups. I am having to rely on How-To and Standard Operating Procedures on how thing should be done with in Solarwinds (adding nodes,…

desr that is the fine line we walk as IT Security Professionals. The analysis of risk and rewards when it comes to cyber security is an ongoing process. What may work for one group may not work for another? How much do we spend to maintain the productivity for most of our organization? What applications and programs…

-
m0be Have you tried to log into the Solarwinds Server itself and go to Start > Programs > Solarwinds Orion > Alerting (?) and look for the Advanced alerts and configure from there?

I have a similar request from my organization. We are using (ADDM) - Application Dependency Mapping - BMC to handle some of the data. I know the Solarwinds Database holds all the information I need but having the ability to manipulate -> export into ADDM is proving to be a challenge.

What version are you actually trying to install?
