There should be a new version of Reports as well. It was updated as the database was altered.

Have you created the menu bars in the Customize Menu Bars setting? You should be able to customize the existing ones, or create new ones (at the bottom). Everything is drag and drop from the options on the left to the created menu bar on the right. Hope this helps. -ChrystalT Loop1 Systems: SolarWinds Training and…

Here is a link with an intro to UnDP: Create a Universal Device Poller (UnDP) in the Orion Platform - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support I would also recommend checking the content exchange on thwack to see if someone has already created the poller you are looking for. They can be downloaded and then imported into…

Does the account that you are using have acces to the /Reports folder?

I have never seen something like that happening. Have you opened a ticket with SolarWinds yet? If not, I would. Please post their response back here for anyone else who may run into the same problem. Thanks, Chrystal Taylor http://www.loop1systems.com

Have you considered using the report scheduler utility to email you? You would have to set up a couple of jobs to get what you want out of it, but it should get you what you are looking for or close to it. It will take a snapshot at the time that it is scheduled to run and email you the image. Hope this helps. Edit: It…

When you are in Network Atlas, you have the option to use a linked background. You paste in the url to the map there, and voila! Hope this helps. Chrystal Taylor http://www.loop1systems.com

To submit a ticket: http://www.solarwinds.com/support/ticket/ For the Universal Device Poller: Start>Programs>SolarwindsOrion>NetworkPerformanceMonitor>UniversalDevicePoller click the + sign at the top left corner to create a new UnDP. You can enter the OID if you have it, or you can select Browse MIB Tree to find what you…

You can also collect some other application information by configuring connectors for other Windows based applications, like Exchange. See the data sources list here: SIEM - Log Management & Log Analyzer Software | SolarWinds Thanks, -ChrystalT Loop1 Systems: SolarWinds Training and Professional Services * LinkedIN: Loop1…

It shows up in the list twice because it is in fact two groups. So it is it's own group, and then a member of the parent group. You can have a parent group that has members that are nodes, groups, etc.
-
Instead of deleting and re-adding it, have you tried running a discovery? You can create a discovery with only the node(s) in question and make sure it is on the same polling engine that the node(s) already exist on. I am not sure if this will correct the problem for you, but I figured it was worth suggesting before you…

Another option would be to query via the SolarWinds Database Manager, and export to CSV. The application will be on your Orion server under Advanced Features in the SolarWinds Orion folder in the Programs menu. * You can find the data you are looking for in the three ResponseTime tables. ResponseTime_Detail will have the…

I can't think of a place where this is shown in the web interface, unless you created a report for it. Someone else can jump in if they know of another way to see that. Also, those values like I said are going to be the most recent unmanaged times, so if you unmanage it again it wouldn't show there. I would have to troll…

I have not heard of anyone trying this. I will reach out internally to see if any of our other engineers can shed any light on a project like this. I'm not sure you can edit the actual property after it has been created. Sorry.

Here is a link to a KB that has a couple agent downloads available to eval customers: SolarWinds Knowledge Base :: Additional LEM downloads for version 5.7 Thanks, -Chrystal Taylor Loop1 Systems: SolarWinds Training and Professional Services * LinkedIN: Loop1 Systems * Facebook: Loop1 Systems * Twitter: @Loop1Systems

Awesome! Glad I could help.

That sounds like a great time!

Can't you just edit the node and check the ICMP only box? If you no longer want the SNMP data?
-
The Program Data files typically are log files. They get pulled during diagnostics and are used for troubleshooting. So the date that it shows is that last time it was updated. Hope this helps.

We created a UnDP for this in a customer environment. I cannot upload the UnDP for you, but I can tell you that for CPU load we used OID: 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.3.3.1.2.1 in a tabular format. We have as yet been unable to find one that pulls memory from those devices. If anyone has, we would appreciate it. :) Hope this helps.

You mean like to create a group called Dependencies and add these groups to it? Or am I misunderstanding?
-
As far as I know, you would need to have those interfaces in Orion in order to do any kind of reporting on them. You can only do a count of interfaces being monitored. Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but it doesn't seem possible to get a count of the ports if they aren't being monitored. Hope this helps.

I have been working with a few different clients on LEM lately, so if anything interesting comes up I will definitely come and post it back here. Thanks, Chrystal Taylor http://www.loop1systems.com

You should be able to use the Universal Device Poller resource to get the information that you are looking for. As you create and assign your pollers, you have the ability for them to be shown on the web interface essentially giving you the same data that comes out of the box for other nodes. As byrona mentioned, all…

Yes to both. Still churns.

We also provide training on-site or public training in a classroom environment here at Loop1 Systems. We are based in Austin, TX but travel anywhere. All of our engineers are SCP certified. www.loop1systems.com

You can add the custom object resource to the view in Manage Views. When you click the "+" it will be listed under Miscellaneous.
-
Instead of a group, you could look at custom properties. Then it would pattern match on the custom property and should fire for any that match.
