You do not need to make a secondary alert. In the trigger actions tab of the same alert, you add a new action. Choose email, then configure appropriately. First action: Now, create ANOTHER action Let me know if you need any more help. Thanks, Chrystal Taylor http://www.loop1systems.com

Have you tried a rediscovery? If that fails, you can try to list resources and remove the topology. Save and then add it back. Simple and sometimes works. If you can't get that working, then I would suggest opening a support ticket. Thanks, Chrystal Taylor http://www.loop1systems.com

You are talking about the export layouts right? I don't know how to restore them, but you shouldn't worry about it. All they are is: All parts (so everything you can put in there), and then one each for each single part (graph, word cloud, etc.) Maybe someone from SW can comment on how to get them back though. Thanks,…

yeah, but i would check. sometimes people will be checking things out and next thing you know: your reports are missing. just a thought. it happens more often than you think that that gets changed by accident.

Have you tried adding the email address that Orion is using to your contacts to prevent it from being blocked as SPAM? ie. you use donotreply@yourcompany.com, and add that to your company contacts. Does that prevent it from being seen as SPAM?

Did you save them in a new reports folder? They would need to be in the /Reports folder to show up on the web console, as well as having the "Make this Report available from the Orion website" option checked. If you saved them in a different folder, you would need to modify the account to have that folder selected for the…

well, if you are on the node details page, and choose edit node from there. it brings up your snmp info, custom properties, etc. towards the top there is a check box for ICMP only.
-
Oh I understand now. I can't think of a way to do this off the top of my head. Sorry.

I customized the page, and it was under Miscellaneous. We are on 10.3, so I am hoping that it is not new to 10.3. Chrystal Taylor http://www.loop1systems.com

Can you tell me what the resolution to this issue was? We are experiencing the same issue in a client environment. Thanks,

then of course, following the creation of your view, you would need to be logged on to the server and navigate to start>programs>solarwindsorion>alerting, reporting, and mapping>report scheduler. This opens up the reports scheduler utilty where you can create a job to email a web page using the url. it works great, and…

And there are no account limitations? When you run the report in the web console, does it give an error or a timeout or does it just show a blank page? Thanks, Chrystal Taylor http://www.loop1systems.com

travis If they are all named Site 1 and Site 2, then how would you distinguish them? Why not name them like New York - Site 1 and New York - Site 2, etc? This would create a unique name for them, and allow you to distinguish the groups from each other on your groups page. Maybe I am misunderstanding you, but from what it…

You could perhaps add another custom property with the url to the map, but other than that I don't think that the report writer is integrated that way with network atlas. If you include the nodeid, it links automatically to the node details page in orion, but I don't know if it is possible to change that to link to the map.

You should be able when creating the poller to expand out the advanced options and choose get table. Hopefully this helps! :)
-
Glad I could help! :)
-
They should show up right away when you click "edit node" towards the bottom of the page. If they don't, you should double check that when you created the custom property that it was a node custom property since you can also create interface and volume. Hope this helps.

lol all the time! sometimes its nice to get a break and have someone else look. :)

If you click on the group, it should take you to a group details page. Is this not what you need?

Thank you, Nicole!

Marilyn, I would recommend using separate discoveries for your network equipment and your servers in this case. You can remove all of the SNMP credentials as recommended above from your server discovery. They are not removed from the database, just from that individual discovery instance. Hope this helps! -ChrystalT Loop1…

We ran into a similar problem today with APM. I agree that there should be a way to update en masse the APM credentials. It would be nice to see the option to edit multiple assigned templates and assign a set of credentials to all of the selected nodes rather than having to change them one by one. We were forced to change…

The executable he is referring to is called SNMPWalk.exe

Can you check in list resources if you are monitoring it? Thanks, Chrystal Taylor http://www.loop1systems.com

You could try the new Universal Device Poller Top XX resource. [cid:image003.jpg@01CEBF5F.B68FF890][cid:image004.jpg@01CEBF5F.B68FF890]

Yes. What I was describing was creating a secondary trigger action. You can have multiple email actions. So you would be able to enter new recipients and a new/different message to denote that it has been escalated in the previous tabs. I hope this clears this up for you. Thanks, Chrystal Taylor http://www.loop1systems.com

A work around that I use is to create nDepth queries and save them. Then you can run and export to .pdf when you need it. The only problem being you can't run them on a scheduled automatic basis. Hope this helps. Chrystal Taylor http://www.loop1systems.com

Anytime you run a sonar discovery in NPM the nodes will show up in Network Atlas, so you can mass add them through the web interface.

From everything that has been coming from SolarWinds, I would say no. They are working on moving everything to the web. It is a process, but it seems that the further along they get with development, the more things are getting added to the web UI.
