Forwarding logs shouldn't change anything about the intake or processing of logs. Just to reiterate - there are no free training modules on THWACK. I think the author is referencing the training that you can get from the Academy while you have active maintenance.

There's no ability to limit users to only a specific data set. I recommend you check out the feature requests for a similar request or open your own.
