@"KMSigma.SWI" I can confirm that this feature does not work. I found out about the hotfix through a random browse on the website. It would be great if this could be looked into.

5 years later and I'm pointed towards this thread because NCM doesn't support updating switch stacks still.

Thanks. I have so many tickets open right now, and progress by tech support is slow. I was hoping that perhaps someone else had some thoughts on the matter.

To answer my own question, in case anyone else have this question: The installer was corrupted somehow, and we had to run the troubleshooter from Microsoft https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed-cca7d1b6-65a9-3d98-426b-e9f927e1eb4d This uninstalled the old…

They weren't able to give me a previous version, but we found one in our backups :)

From SolarWinds support: WebsiteMaintenance_user is a non-administrator account with no privileges. It is created automatically to speed up starting the website when accessing the Orion Web Console for the first time after restarting the server or running the Configuration Wizard. It is a new added feature by the new…

To add to this, currently Cisco 9800 WLC are not supported by SolarWinds. Since just about all their other WLCs are EOL at this point... support.solarwinds.com/.../Wireless-heat-map-support

Thank you Bob! After some adjusting I've figured out how to tweak it.

Ok, we were suffering from Alert Fatigue (TM), because we got alerts when our database servers hit 100% CPU, disk or memory usage. I have since grouped them in their own groups, and we get a morning report on what's been going on with them rather than an e-mail each time someone runs a SQL report. To them, warning and…

Thanks Bob. Well, that's not going to happen with us, so off to learn SWQL it seems. :)

We're on the most recent version of NPM and NCM, and it's still showing as an option. Odd. Anyway, here is the XML code for the Nodes with Problems table. Sorry for the ugly, but I'm not sure how to get it nicely formatted like yours. Also, thank you for the XML of what you made. I'm still not good with SWQL/SQL, but I was…

This is literally "the whole thing". It's not a big thing, but it's my first attempt at SQL and second trip into creating reports.
-
@"kpmarcin"Thank you! That is EXACTLY what was wrong. Is there a way to change these settings on a group basis, or do I have to enter in to each individual node and then volume to adjust the settings?
-
It's been days, if not weeks at this point, depending on the servers.

Sure! But we're getting into the: "This is Greek to me" territory! <?xml version="1.0"?> -<ArrayOfAlertConditionShelve xmlns:i="">www.w3.org/.../XMLSchema-instance" xmlns="">schemas.datacontract.org/.../SolarWinds.Orion.Core.Models.Alerting"> -<AlertConditionShelve> <AndThenTimeInterval i:nil="true"/>…

It ran again over the weekend, and it is the correct alert that is generating the e-mails too early. Here are the only two alerts that cover transmission. I copied the out of the box alert and added in the delay to the message as seen in my original post. The out of the box alert was then disabled at the time of creation,…

I have taken @"KMSigma.SWI"'s advice and linked to the alert I created (It was a copy of an out of the box alert), and I'm currently monitoring it to see if I can figure out where the other alert is coming from. I did have the original alert that I copied turned off, however. I'll keep you updated.

To answer my own question in case anyone else is wondering: The solution to this was to copy the WLC config into notepad, delete everything that I didn't want in the baseline, save the file, and then tick the: "This is a snippet" box. I was then able to upload this config file without the parts that weren't desired, and…

Thanks Steven. I verified this with Solarwinds directly as well. The information we have seems somewhat out of date, as NCM wouldn't identify certain Cisco devices in our network.
