Yes! I found it. Thanks for the reply. I can now start to work now that I know I'm in the right place.

Well, I have a work-around in place. I was able to create and configure email alerts based on relevant Syslog messages. I would like to get the alerts working via traps; but for now, at least we have something.
-
Okay, so Trap Viewer is part of NCM and not NPM. As far as I know, we are getting all our traps from NPM. Since we're not receiving traps from NCM, wouldn't it make more sense to generate the amail alert from NPM; where the traps come from?

After reading a few past threads on this type of request, It looks like I need to do the following: * Open a service request and submit this new MIBs to Solarwinds. * Then have them add them to the MIB database. * Download the updated MIB database after Solarwinds has added them on some Friday???

You will need to use the Trap Viewer to generate the alert, and the Trap should be there in the Application. Once you find the Trap, you can Right Click on the Trap and Select Add Rule. This will automatically populate all information for the Rule, then you can create the Email action to notify you. Thanks Sean et al;…

Another dumb question - actually a continuation of the first dumb question... How do I get to the Trap Viewer?
-
Okay, dumb question (my disclaimer), How would I know I was using Trap Veiwer to connfigure the alerts? Also, if I configure "PowerNet-MIB:apc.0.5" for UPS On-Battery, then would I configure "PowerNet-MIB:apc.0.9" for Off-battery?
-
Very nice, I will give it a try. I did notice within the web console of the UPS, there were a lot of choices for more detailed notification. I'll peek around in there too.
-
Would you please say a little more about that? How did you configure the "Responsibility" part of the alerts?
-
Hi Jeff, Thanks for your reply. I have verified that the Liebert MIBs I was sent, are not in the MIB library. I also just updated our MIB library with the latest MIB database. I am ready to stick these new MIBs in. I just don't know where.

Thanks, I will enable Hubble. I also noticed that we are very very low on disk space on the main drive. Something is eating it up every time I delete unnecessary files. Could low disk space possibly cause this problem? FYI, we are running two physical servers. One server is the DB server.

We're trying to do the same thing. How do you set the value from 119 to 117, etc...?
-
I submitted Case # 210471 right after I started this thread and have heard nothing back yet. We are stuck in the middle of an upgrade and I can't go any further until I can get those links.
