I did the upgrade yesterday from version 8.5 + SP1 + SP2 -> 8.5.1. So far, I've detected no problems, all apps are running fine Same here. I went from 8.5 with all the hotfixes to 8.5.1. I'm having a weird issue. I upgraded one of my 4 10.0 servers to 10.1 and I get a timeout from time to time when I tried to click on it it's link in EOC which opened a new window that goes to that Orion server. I get the following attached message. Passthru auth should work. BB

So .net 3.0 is not included with the Orion installer, but rather it's pulled from the Internet during the install? I ask because I need to install Orion on a server without access to the Internet. We have the same problem. If you notice the timestamps are either 4:15 or 5:15 am. Our servers say they rebooted every 4 or 5 days at the same time. BB

We are testing the latest NPM/NCM versions (NPM 10.4 & NCM 7.1.1). Since we are evaluating we can't open a support ticket. I have to work thru Thwack to try and get answers. I can't tell by the error if it's on the NPM server or SCOM server.

No updates since last Thursday and all they said was it's wait for "development" to look at. My NTA system is pretty much useless at this point. BB

FYI...a repair retuns u to 9.0 and no service pack. So if you want to be 9.0 SP1 you'll need to run the SP1 install. BB

 I think the best performance enhancer is to move the SQL server to its own dedicated box. SQL can be a hog and can suck up alot of resources. BB

I believe that's what I did. I have a View X and a View Y. Each view has different nodes yet the graphs use the same interfaces.

We are planning to add some new gauges. Is there something in particular that you are looking for it, or is this a generic desire for new stuff? The later of course. The guages alterego posted look cool. I guess my preference would be newer linear gauges...but any upgrades would be cool. BB

FYI...I got word back from Cisco TAC that this is bug...shocking. So we'll upgrade code and this should be a non issue.

I have 4 remote pollers that do all the work...so does the alert engine need to run on those? The main NPM server just runs the web site. I have basic alerts on the pollers. BB
