I have asked for this feature for awhile now. Like Cirrus you should be able to define custom tools to use. You should be able to remove those icons, or add icons that can be used for SSH, etc. BB

SNMP is standard UDP161 (Read) and UDP162 (Trap). You rules should be : permit udp <your orion server> <your devices being polled> eq snmp That works for a stateful firewall....ACLs are a different story if you use a router. You need to create the reserse permit. BB

Refresh works but want to know why this is happening in the 1st place. When our command center sees it they kind of freak out....so if its a setting we need to tweak so this doesn't happen we can do that. Just want to know what's the issue here.

Is it too much to start actually putting the version name on the package line? Instead of Orion NPM Polling Engine v9 SLX why can't you have Orion NPM Polling Engine v9 SLX SP2 or Orion NPM Polling Engine v9.1 SLX? BB

We have 4 Orion servers. 1 runs the old VoIP Monitor because it's running V9.1. The Other Orion server, showing down, is IPSLA Manager on a 9.5.1 server. These were both showing "up" last week.

So how does this really work then? Something has to tell the router when to perform a test. It seems to me the VoIP Monitor is doing that. BB

Here is what I have : Poller - VoIP Monitor and Orion Module engine services are installed and running SLX Main Server - Orion Module enigne service is installed and running; VoIP module installed but service is not running. BB

I find this a good tool for us as well. Whenever we get a call on branch office slowness I check this first to see how our IPSLA tests look. I can easily tell if the carrier has added latency or we are seeing drops. BB

Making an exception would be somewhat hard to code (not using NCM) and we could run a write mem job but if IPSLA is making a change I think it would be best that i t also write it to memory. BB

Option 4....and I really really they get this addressed. We've asked for this for a long time and should be a simple thing to do. I would include Excel as well. It's a nuisance to have to log into the server and run report writer, export the file, etc. BB

We are about to rebuild our Orion NPM and EOC servers to Windows 2008 R2. Is there still the requirement that IIS run in 32-bit mode?

Bumping this again. We are not getting to the point where we will be monitoring alot of servers, most with multiple CPU and I have already been asked about how Orion handles multiple CPUs and how they are displayed in the graphs. BB

I see 9.1.0.399 on all of my servers. All the ESX servers are on 1 poller but for testing I added one of the ESX servers to a 2nd poller and I have the same issue.
