Are these by chance Unix or Linux servers? Does orion report them rebooting at 5:15AM? If so I have seen this before. The net-snmp agent is faulty and will falsely say the server rebooted when it has not...like your seeing. I suggest you upgrade the net-snmp agent. BB

Seems to me all you need is SNMP and Ping opened up from ur ONPM server to the management interfaces of your devices. That's how we are doing it.

Andy, I have 3 basic peeves with installation/upgrades of the Orion product and add-ons. 1. In a multi poller environment you have to stop the services of every server before you try and upgrade a single copy. We have 5 servers (4 pollers, 1 NPM Server). I have to terminal server into all 5 boxes and shut everything down…

We have evaluated NetQoS ReporterAnalyzer..that's the product that uses Cisco NetFlow to tell you who is using what. We are planning on purchasing it. There has been talk about having links from Orion to NetQoS and vice versa. I have not heard much about it recently. B
