pan... Retain Detail Stats 120 Days Retain Hourly Stats 180 Days Retain Daily Stats 5000 Days Retain Events 180 Days That seems like a lot of data. I'm using the following : Retain Detail Stats 14 Days Retain Hourly Stats 30 Days Retain Daily Stats 415 Days Retain Events 30 Days I also only have about 2500 elements where…

quote:Originally posted by pancamo v5.0.7 is the last version that I know of that works for disks... later versions hang when polling the disks. We have net-snmp-5.0.9-2.30E.12 and its buggy. Bump...now that V5 is out this still needs to be addressed. BB

Replace WhatsUp with Orion. Eventually the Cirrus and Orion products will tie in together so it would be nice to have that available for you. BB

Chris...can this request be done in the next release. Right now I can not inventory my important ISP routers with the full table until this is addressed. BB
-
Look at the bottom of the web page...it should be listed there or in the admin view : servernamehere/.../Engines.asp That will get u the Orion levels. If you need APM or other add-ons they have to be in some sort of install log file. BB

I'm having the same issue. I do have the switch inventory working but I'm unable to have Cirrus tell me that that IP X is on device Y port Z. BB
-
Have you tried telnet? That would help you narrow the issue a little.

mharb, I'm ahead of you. I requested the same NetScaler support for the 9000 box. I believe its been included in the next MIB update for the toolsets. But I've requested them to work with NetScaler to get a 9000 box and get all the information they need and then put that in the next maintenance update to Orion if possible.…

I just upgraded to 5.1 for NCM and yet again my tools that I defined where blown away and I have to recreate them. I will ask this again...please get this fixed in the next release or something. BB

I wanted to bring this back up. I turned up "staistics" polling of a couple key devices to 1 minute. However the reports can only go down to 5 minutes. How can I see the 1 minute data? BB

Disregard my last post. I saw your other response in the Advanced SQL post. I'll wait to V7.1 Thanks again!

Don..thanks for the input...both work great. The report writer I'm getting the follwoing when I try to run the report via the web site : Line 1: Incorrect syntax near 'SELECT'. Happy to report its back to normal. I worked with tech support and found out what the problem was. If you have lsass.exe hoggin up memory in your task manager that affects alo tof things. This is an MS issue. If you have this you need to stop and start the Orion server over. Check to see if lsass.exe is still their or not.…

Nothing yet. Support emailed me today to gather some information like interfaces polling, how frequent I'm polling an so forth. The polling has been the same since I upgraded from v6.4 I have added some interfaces and devices...but not that many. I now have a new problem where all my trend graphs (no matter if its…

Don...I emailed you at that address. My server is very sluggish ever since the upgrade. Let me know what information you need to troubleshoot this.

Same here. I actually have Orion monitoring the server its on and I see a 25-30% jump in the CPU since I loaded Version 7. I was running steady at around 20%, now I'm around 50%.

Has the Cat Hybrid login been fixed yet? I'm have the same issue on my 6509. BB

I would use the DB Manger in SW and make a backup of you existing DB. Copy that to your new DB server. Using the MS SQL DB Tool restore that DB. If can be the same file name even. You can then run the configuration wizard on your current server and try to connect to the new DB server. If it works great. They you can…

You can either figure it out yourself (SNMP MIB Walk) or contact F5 and ask them for the SNMP OID string for the CPU utilization. Once you have that you can input that OID into a custom mib poller and you should good to go from there. HTH. BB
-
Before I loaded the "slowness" patched for the Custom MIB I backed up OrionNetPerfMon.exe. I renamed the patched OrionNetPerfMon.exe and restored the original one. As soon as I did that the Custom Mib poller works as expected. I can assign the nodes and they stay there. So it looks like you patched OrionNetPerfMon.exe is…
