This has worked well for me on routers since SW released Netflow: ip flow-cache timeout active 1 ip flow-export source Loopback0 ip flow-export version 5 ip flow-export destination 10.x.x.x 9995 On ALL routed interfaces: ip route-cache flow I use this now was well. My question is more for the people using the newer…

Generally speaking SW support is very good but if I have to say I agree on the responsiveness as well as the ticket tracking process. I know in the past sometimes I would open a ticket and once in a while I wouldn't get a response for a day, maybe 2. I don't know if SW can answer if they have an SLA on response depending…

It says "This controls how often a burst of test traffic is sent. Note that this change only takes effect when IP SLA operations are created or recreated." This to me sounds like that's the frequency Orion sends the SNMP write to the router to perform a test. BB

SW?

Ok.....I see this for the network map : Error: Session data is not available. Please refresh this page. If this error occurs more often, please check whether the maximum of worker processes in IIS is set to 1 for this application pool. Is this a case I should open?

Can Macros be used in RTN ? I've tried, but it doesn't appear to work (like in Orion) I would like to see that and the ability to ignore certain changes like ntp clock-period and NVRAM config last updated. (as well as the suggestion in the first post) I've only implemented RTN this week, but I don't see that either of…

I picture it working like all the other Orion graphs. At the bottom where you can change timeframe, sample interval, etc maybe add a field to drop-down to change it from the default 5 to anything else. That would not affect the global setting. Also to note that the graphs are not clickable unless you click "Top 5". If you…

Ok, That worked but I get the following error when I try to add a VoIP site : Orion Website Error An error has occurred with the Orion website. Additional Information Orion Module Service is not running or VoIP BusinessLayer plugin can not be loading. On my main SLX server where I just installed th VoIP monitor it does not…

Pass-thru authentication works just fine. We've used it for years so that allows us to bypass having to log into the website each time. The admin guide explains how to set this up. BB

We have a nightly job that's set up for the following : * All nodes in the database * Only save configs that have changed is checked It works fine for devices that already have 1 backup in the database. But for a brand new device that is added the backup job will not back the config up until I manually get the 1st backup…

Is this a new stance from SW now? I mean NTA has it's own service, Voip Monitor had the same. EOC is reporting the IPLSA manager down on one of rmy servers and it's not. I'm not sure what to restart to fix that. BB

Denny....that 17777 port...is that in both directions? Our web server sits in a DMZ so I need to know if the rule needs to be applied on the inbound from the poller to the web server or the outbound from the web server to the poller....or both. What about when you get Cirrus invloved too? What port is needed between the…

Say's NetFlow Traffic Analyzer 2.2 - Hotfix 4. Is that the latest? BB

I still see this in 10.1. You can dismiss the message but if you go to the Settings -> Product Updates -> Available Product Updates the items are still there. Like on my one server it still lists 10.1 and NTA 3.7 yet as you can see I'm up to date : SolarWinds Orion Core 2010.2.1, IPSLAMGR 3.5.1, NPM 10.1.1, NTA 3.7, IVIM…

Yes...this will work, however I don't like the fact it's universal. Refreshing the main page to show updates, etc is useful every 5 minutes. This like that view never need to be refreshed in my opinion. Maybe make that a feature request to split that out. B

Well...we have the same problem with orion but the pollers fixed it. Because of security reasons a single NCM server cannot get to all off the network devices. A NCM poller could be placed in different areas and feed back to a single DB. I guess the key is keeping all the data in 1 database because that allows for a single…

I'm in the same boat. I can understand your work around here but how about SW creating guages to support this? BB
-
Ok...however this is causing a problem with our backup system saying there is a discrepancy between running and start-up configurations. If IPSLA is writing to the config can you make it write to memory? BB

I see 'running' or 'notrunning' in the DB under that table. BB

I'm going to try and figure out if there is some sort of Cisco mib that has these queues in them so I can trend the values. I have to know if the queues are under/over utilizied, drops, etc. BB

If this is an issue I know you can use the snmp-server ifindex persist option if your running Cisco IOS. BB

No...but I'll go ahead and do it now.

NG...I don't follow. This gives the the correct #. I've compared this with the actual stats from the 3030 and its the same. The only difference is we have only 1 site-2-site VPN....everything else is users.

I never had that issue. It's simple SNMP...the version you're running may have a big in it. We run 4.7.2.I.

I have created a custom poller to poll cisco serial numbers. I would like to write a script to find the information the poller gathers, and put it into the Custom Properties so i can report off of it. I cannot find where the infomation is stored in the SQL database. I have looked thru all of the tables regarding custom…
