This is one of biggest peaves with SW and it's how you handle trouble tickets. Customers have no view into open tickets they have, ticket status, etc anywhere. This is typical stuff that most companies provide...why can't SW do this? We have secured customer portals...it should go in there. As for excaltaion I have a…

I'm not a DBA person so some of this stuff I can't follow. It seems different queries, functions, etc. are done within SQL, thru Orion, or something else. Could some post a detailed step-by-step on these processes along with the application used to do each step. For instance the shrink/re-index...not sure where that is. If…

I see "The variables ${MessageType} and ${Message} now work for the “Send an SNMP Trap” action in the Syslog Viewer." But in SNMP Trap options in Advanced alerts versus what's in Basic Alerts is totally different. Unless I missed it I don't see where you can edit the SNMP trap message like you can in the basic alert. BB

The interface is managed on the ASR. It's a WAN interface that Orion is monitoring for up/down and utilizations. So the issue is associating the IP that NTA sees which is the IP of the WAN interface but it's not the management interface of the ASR.

If you deploy a separate Kiwi server does Orion integrate so that when u click on Syslog in NPM is puts the logs from Kiwi? Or is it basically a separate system you access directly?

This may be your issue. I have a nightly device failure report sent to me an usually it's pretty small. After the upgrade I had alot of failures. After the upgrade the new communication option "Request Configs Using" was added. I think it's default is telnet. And after the upgrade all the devices where updated with this…

SW....any ETA on SP1 for V9? Do we have a confirmed issue list of bugs going to be fixed in the 1st SP? BB
-
I see this issue alot but nothing really happens. I mean if the shutdown of the netpermon service takes along time, or I kill the service I'll get this at the end of the configuration wizard. If by some reason the netperfmon service doesnt start then I go into the services app and just start it again. Never seem to have…

These public IPs are mostly NAt'd to an internal host. So SNMP to the device will not help. And yes, we want to monitor and get hostnames for the public address spaces we own. The DNS hostnames are publish to Internet DNS servers. So it's a matter of getting IPAM to poll a public DNS server(s) to resolve the IPs.…

Yes..please. This has gone on for years and not been addressed. Allow us to customize that toolbar list so I can add SecurCRT to it. BB

No....but this is an x64 machine. There are 2 IE programs. The regular IE (assuming 32bit) is blocked by a policy but the x64 IE works fine. Is that the issue? BB
-
Denny...any idea when this will be done? I have a need for this now and would thought it would be in 9.1 by now. Thanks. BB
-
After working with support I was told this is a known bug and will be fixed in 10.1.2. BB

My timestamps are all at the same time....but good to know others are seeing it too.

Any update when this will be available for V8??? BB

Nope....the reporting engine for Orion and Cirrus is still lacking basic graphing functions. This is a must have and wish they'd put some focus on it. Or better yet work with a 3rd party company like Crystal Reports and leverage their applications to give us what we want and need. BB

I have disabled the alert, so as far as "Alerts" go with the yellow triangle I do not get them any more. I do however still get yellow triangle events. Jiri....I don't want to diable these, that just masks issues. I cannot get support to tell me what in NPM is set up to trigger these? What are the thresholds? And what does…

Can someone from SW comment here? Should a ticket be opened so this gets fixed? BB
-
Somewhat the same...this server is set up for DHCP but I'm doing icmp/snmp to it. There has to be a way to fix this. BB
-
I already did. Case # 65540. It's sitting in Development for a few weeks now. BB
-
These firewalls are in Cirrus and none of the devices who routes thru it are seen in the Find IP/MAC tool. BB
-
It would be best probably to have a quick call to explain this. Please PM me to set up a call to discuss. Thanks.

This is not a local user on the server itself...everyone has a domain account...I just do not want to have to create individual accounts for them. I would create a local EOC account, like you can do in Orion now, that they all can use. So no....local windows account on the server is not an option. I just want to see the…

I figured it out. One of the nodes was deleted so I guess VoIP Monitor got confused. I had to go thru the admin page and delete the node from the site and readd it. BB

Cisco strongly recommends you do not poll your WLC SNMP with anything other than WCS. It may cause unexpected problems. You have a link for this? It's SNMP not sure why that would cause any problems.
-
This is why we need somewhere on the web site that lists the SW versions and SPs applied. I does get confusing. BB
-
I'd like to know how to do this as well. It would be nice if it could just use syslocation instead of name. BB

Denny, I opened case 17225 on Monday and have yet to hear from any one. I have the screen shot ready to be sent in. As a side note it would be really nioce if we can attached files to the tickets when we submit them instead of waiting for an email back asking for the same information. Also...I opened 17804 this morning…

The alert is being checked evey minute... Actually I checked and polling is set for 120 secoinds fpor status and 5 minutes for statistics. So I'd expect no more than 3 minutes.

I can't even get the files to download. I get the following when I click on Orion in my portal : QUERY The QUERY attribute of the tag does not specify the name of an available query The error occurred while processing an element with a general identifier of (CFOUTPUT), occupying document position (446:7) to (446:44).…
