  • Brandon...this still is an issue. When will it be fixed?
  •  Any ideas Tim?
  • servername/.../171.gif is what shows up on the interface page servername/.../ne.gif is what shows up on the node details page BB
  • Great..thanks Andy. Did I see somewhere that NTA 3.1 is in beta? BB
  • Our 4 pollers are set up in certain areas so we arbitrarily decide when a node is added to which poller it goes. I keep an eye on the # of elements a poller has. BB
  • Mav, TY for the resposes. I had some follow-ups to these : * #4 - Unless I'm missing it the nodes are not automatically monitored. My test NPM server has about 100 devices on it, yet in UDT it shows only 6. And those 6 I had to run the wizard to get them added. I understand of the NPM monitoring versus UDT monitoring. We…
  • Add me to that list then. Thanks. BB
  • My engineer didn't update Orion with the SNMP RW string. That fixed it. It would be nice to be able to add both when you discover a new device. BB
  • Well...we had a situation last week were a wan link was running very high. The top 10 looked fine because the bulk of the traffic was not in the top 10....it was being used by another application using different ports. The different ports separate would not make the top 10 but if you put the ports together for the…
  • That worked...again the documentation is not correct then.
  • Wow...news to me. Did I just miss that in the documentation or something? It would be nice if the configuration wizard would not have the Alerting Engine as an option to check under services. Also...it is still seen under windows services...shouldn't that just remove it totally so there is not confusion? I always upgrade…
  • Yes...in the Global Node Status by Site level 1 is Orion. We group by Orion, then vendor then machine type. So level 1 and 2 are green with the yellow box. At the node level is green with the red box. All ports are up on that device but one interface is unmanaged at this time. BB
  • I need the opposite. I have multiple NCM servers and 1 Orion system. So right now I can only point to one of the NCM servers. BB
  • I looked at this again. If I go to a node and edit properties I do not see anywhere to select a poller to test from. I see that when adding a node....not editing one. I do see where it says engine : XYZ. That is the correct poller where the device is being managed from. Like I said if I terminal server into that poller and…
  • Bump. This is a little frustrating. I see all green on the map and every device has an up status. I do not see any "unknown" items on the map. Can SW somehow put on the page what is causing this so it can be looked at? BB
  • Add me to the list...I had my 1st occurrence last week on my new 9.5 SP4 server. Since I was out sick most of the week no one noticed until like 4 days later. I have 2 new 9.5 SP4 servers connecting to the same SQL server. All the servers are on the same LAN basically yet only 1 of the 2 had an issue. There has to be a way…
  • Is anyone still seeing this issue? I thought it was fixed but I went to us the server this morning and it has the same weird problem. The scroll bar is acting possessed moving up and down and the system is slow or unusable. I'm using 5.1. BB
  • Ok...so I'll remove them. I would have expected the V9 install to remove them as well. BB
  • I have 3 tech groups and we have processes to assign tickets by those groups. So somewhere on the ticket page I'd like all tickets listed. It would be nice to be able to set the default as "open" as an admin but they can use the search for all closed.
  • Yeah...did that...it has 3.5 there. Just not sure what the error is all about. BB
  • quote:Originally posted by Haley Since the versions are not changing when you select Modify, I recommend that you uninstall Cirrus v3.5 and install Cirrus v3.5.1. Your database, device templates, and reports should not be impacted by the uninstall. We are currently investigating the potential installation issue. So if I'm…

  • Hi Bryan, I've never been able to find a way around this. With pass-thru enabled, you cannot login locally. I have two different domain accounts, so I use one of them for testing when required by changing the Orion profile. Crap...ok...I thought I was able to do this before. Ok...I'll have to try a different account I…
  • These are Layer 3 Vlans on the Sup720. BB
  • Sorry Brian, but I don't agree. How do you quantify the bandwidth available on a Virtual Network or interface? Some loopback interfaces are discovered with 8Gbps of bandwidth, but they to are virtual....? I just tune my VLAN speed according to the 95th percentile over the past month. Most of mine are set to 3Gb, and any…
  • Thanks...I'll have to try that. How does it handle updates? The weather map will change every few minutes...how will Orion/Network Atlas know to go out and get the new jpg background? Hopefully everytime the Orion page refreshes it makes a new call to the URL. BB
  • Haley....when will this be done? I upgraded to 4.01 and I had to recreate my 3 SecureCRT links under tools. BB
  • What about ? There are a few SP3 threads outside that AJAX issue. BB
  • Andy...somewhat related. There are other events that show up bold in the event summary while most others are not. For instance Volume Disappear and Missing NetFlow Node are bold. But things like Node down, etc are not. I'm not sure if that's intentional or not or the reasoning behind it. I figured with all the color coding…
  • Bump...SW support? This is still broke...when will it be fixed???? BB
  • Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 You can assign a menubar to a user, but not a view. Denny....that's what I have done. I have a new menu bar item for a view that I want my team to see, not the default user. Unless I change my shortcut in IE to use the URL for that new view (as if I…
