  • Yes, yes, yes, yes I need to see unassigned tickets in my tech group in the bar with a number beside it in parenthesis. I don't care about the tickets other techs in my group already have assigned to them. I only need to know when a ticket comes into my group that is unassigned.
  • I received and installed an updated DLL file, and now wireless clients are showing their DNS names. Thanks!
  • I don't believe I heard anything back yet on the client name issue, however it's possible I missed it while I was out travelling. I can misinterpret my emails when reading them on a Blackberry. Can you send it again?
  • SP3 fixed the SSID problem I had. It did not fix the client name problem.
  • At this point I just want the basic functionality to work. Maybe WCS can be discussed in a different thread so it doesn't hijack the point of this one which is that the wireless functionality is next to worthless in 9.5. All versions prior to 9.5 worked so well, but 9.5 has been a total disaster. I'd rather continue to pay…
  • I have the same problem with all of our 1130 and 1231 APs. They have three SSIDs each, and all clients will report on only one of the three (the single SSID could be any of the three on the AP) regardless to what SSID they are actually connected to. I had this problem in 9.5 and just upgraded to SP2 in hopes this problem…
  • I have this exact problem with an older router (Cabletron SSR-600). After logging on its prompt sits at "*" and Cirrus is unable to continue. Once you enter the configuration area you are presented a "Config>" prompt. The running config area uses a "+" prompt. I'll be glad when we finally get rid of this model, but until…
  • Well, SW didn't respond with anything to assist, and I haven't had time yet to tear apart their wireless tables to base a report on. I hope to get to this in the near future as my traveling requirements have died down for the next month or so. If I get something palatable, I'll post a brief synopsis of the info.
  • I increased the JVM memory pool to 3.5GB, and it takes about 2 days before performance crawls due to a lack of available memory. I finally configured a cron job to restart the WHD service every night, and that returned sanity to my life.
  • I'm having the problem on 12.3 as well.
  • Autonomous They literally have the same configuration as our 1231G models as I load the same configuration file on both and only change the hostname. There seems to be some discrepancy in SNMP between the two models that Orion doesn't account for.
  • I guess I wasn't sure if this was a "feature" or a problem. I'll enter a ticket for it.
  • I found another comment in a different thread that said it will work if you made the tech username not match the client username. I made this change on our system, and that allows AD auth for the technician finally. It looks like the system is authenticating against the tech first which causes the failure since it doesn't…
  • All of our tech accounts are linked to their respective client accounts, and none can logon with AD credentials. They have to use the password that is set for the tech account in Solarwinds. Such a stupid change so they didn't have to fix their security problem.
  • Is there a list of the fields to look at for wireless information or do I just have to look at the database and figure it out?
  • I am not polling anything via Solarwinds. I wish I had time to get it all setup, but alas... I will probably just stop using Solarwinds for wireless monitoring as Aerohive has its own management console, and we are moving off of Cisco APs completely.
  • I have a lot of Cisco 1231G and Cisco 1131AG APs. All of our 1231s report everything fine in Orion. None of our 1131s report any client information in Orion. They both have the exact same config short of the hostname. I verified the 1131s show all the client information in the CLI.
  • To clarify: We use two models of Cisco APs. 1131AG and 1231G The 1231G will show the AP name for some clients with all other clients having no value in that field. The 1131AG APs show no value for any of their clients in the CLIENT NAME field.
