I just noticed today that there is a warranty summary in the SAM view now. For some reason there are devices in summary view that do not show up in my warranty all report?
-
In asset window, I cannot see serial but in hardware view I can see it. Its using snmp to collect data.
-
I would love to see this too. My boss has been asking me for this but I've not had much time to look into it. Theres got to be a way to get this info off my HP systems. Its already there for HP SIM. I just want to get the info over to my solarwinds installation so I can report on it or alert on it.
-
I just checked two nodes missing from my report, both had asset inventory checked but they still don't show up in my warranty report. I also see that all my vm host hardware does not show up for some reason. They also have asset selected as well.
-
Here too. Waiting for Linux support.
-
Well, I've updated both the hp homepage and the system agents and this particular system and its still will not get warranty status. It seems like it is the only thing the SW cannot get. It has every other piece of hardware listed for this devise.

We've been using sam 6.0 for a few months now and I'm still not getting all my systems warranty info in there for some reason. I'd say were getting about 75% success at this point.
-
Possible but not likely. I counted the systems not in my report. I have 75 systems missing from my report.
-
This particular one is a windows 2008 R2 system. I'll poke around with that next week some to see if it helps. Could be agents I suppose.....
-
The two that I just checked were HP DL360 G3 running windows 2003 server std and the other was HP DL380 G7 running Windows 2008 R2. Both have HP agents and asset checked.

I'm having some trouble getting this setup. I'm using a win 2003 server for testing. I setup custom ports but when I test it I see destination ports 56897, 56898 used instead of my custom ones used in the registry. Any advice?
-
Thats it! Still not sure what I was missing in the where clause though.....

I'm having trouble getting this to work now. Trouble with the AND statement line 16? SELECT TOP 10000 CONVERT(DateTime, LTRIM(MONTH(DateTime)) + '/01/' + LTRIM(YEAR(DateTime)), 101) AS SummaryMonth, Nodes.NodeID AS NodeID, Nodes.VendorIcon AS Vendor_Icon, Nodes.Caption AS NodeName, Nodes.IP_Address AS IP_Address,…
-
Thanks alot, I'll see if I can get that to work.
-
I got it, this is what worked for me. Thanks for your help, I would have never found that Having statement....I had to change the <100 to <99.99 for some reason. I was getting a few servers that were 100% in the results. Changed it to 99.99 and I'm good to go. My boss should like this one. SELECT TOP 10000…
-
I'll probably just wait for a fix to be released as its not causing us any issues at the moment. Its just a visual. Thanks!
-
I'll have to play with this some and see if I can make it work. Adding the having statement yesterday threw up errors.
-
Yes. nothing changed there.
-
OK, I have the sql editing figured out. Thank you but now still no luck with the query. It looks like this and is still returning different values than the default report that displays all devices. What do I need to change? SELECT TOP 10000 CONVERT(DateTime, LTRIM(MONTH(DateTime)) + '/01/' + LTRIM(YEAR(DateTime)), 101) AS…

I don't think so. I pretty much use these fields for every system managed so there will be some sort of text there.
-
I've already looked for that patch. Its not on the orion server or the vcenter server. This is something else going on certificate related probably.
-
Question, where are you using this view?
-
I think I have mine setup that way.... edit page...
-
I still cannot see that KB2661254 is installed on either system!
-
Without SAM, you would have to use custom pollers. Not as clean but doable. We've been using that method for a few years now. As far as whats needed on the linux systems, you need the hp agents installed and don't hold me to this because I just know enough linux to be dangerous. This is what I have in my notes from one of…

I think I understand why the values are not coming out correctly on my modified report and would like to try and change it but still when I do the show SQL option and go to the SQL tab, I am unable to make any changes to the query. The same thing when I try to create a new report and enter my own query, I cannot type or…

The way I have ours setup on most everything is to send an email alert to problem application or group of components Then I have an alert setup to only display on the alerts page about down single components.
-
That what I do too. Using advanced alerts I create an alert for each with custom properties as the catch for the alert my custom properties that I use mostly are. Production Development Network Physical Virtual Here is one of my alerts that excludes switches and routers and sends an alert to everyone except my network…

I don't really have access to the switch/device consoles. That is another department that would have to look at that for me. I'm really only responsible for the server stuff which there are a few on the list. The bonds, are server systems with nic teaming. David
