As a Cisco Nexus owner, I need the feature.

I work in the healthcare space and one thing I see over and over that amazes me is these big fancy medical instruments that come in at hundreds of thousands of dollars, and they perform very critical functions, but their software upgrades are just crazy expensive. Which always blows my mind because to sit and look at one…

Ahh yes sorry should have been specific, WIN10Pro here.
-
feature request to make me less lazy?
-
You had me at "More Actions: Add node to NCM"

As someone who only fits in tall sizes I find this contest.... disturbing. Just as you would fine me in a belly shirt.... disturbing.
-
Already did Keep me on your beta list, I've got 170 vlans id like to put it on and roughly 30 layer 3 physical interfaces.
-
Yeah it probably does belong there, thanks for pointing me in the right direction guys! have a good thanksgiving. b-
-
Good point, I guess I dont need to chase the subnet name.
-
Jacob, Id be happy to beta test this if you need testers. Are you at live this week?
-
I suggest you escalate it the moment you open it. I opened a ticket, they took a show tech and promptly blamed solarwinds stating that if it was indeed overthreshold it would have logged an item in the sh log for it, which it didn't. Feel free to have them reference my case #623919849

makes perfect sense, thanks for your help. -b

Not in the query itself but in the column, its the only nvarchar(1024) and other than notificaitonSettings(nvarchar(max)) its the only one above 255 in the AlertDefinitions table. All the 255 and lower nvarchar columns work. SQL string statements done appear to work in SWQL so LEFT and TRIM both break it. There is probably…

So followup question on the LaPoint post. "This current plan is to deliver this as an update to the NCM integration module for Orion NPM." Under the current plan, and I totally understand that plans can change with the wind, would someone need to own NCM (we don't) in order to search for an IP endpoint? With all the…

I dont know if I really even had a problem. This disscussion just came up in my mind as I was setting up IP SLA Manager. It just struck me that someone at some point, probably some cisco engineer in a san jose lab, had to decide what the default would be for a warning threshold. But pyro is right, its all relative. Maybe…

Will do.

Everything I have seen tells me that should work, you could try diagnosing your WMI on that device for problems but if you are getting CPU/Memory and drive information then you should be getting network interface information also. I would probably take this to solarwinds support next.
-
I wouldn't mind that, also a threshold override would be nice also.
-
I am also seeing it on my LR GBICs as well, pretty much anywhere I have a 6500vss with an active 10gig interface I have this problem.
-
I think I might be working on the same problem, forgive if I am wrong, I am still new to the product. I have several subnets that are /30 point to point links between routers and switches accross a campus lan. I like to track these in IPAM so I can measure their uptimes, but obviously they are subnets that are 100% full. I…

Right, and I get that, see that a lot. I'm not saying "EIGRP rules all and all routing protocols must die!", I'm just saying it seems odd *too me* that EIGRP isn't in the running. I remember when I first went through the first cisco cert stuff they said ISIS was used heavily in the ISP space still. I wonder if that is…

I would agree, if not for Cisco having the majority of the market share. I struggle to find people who aren't running Cisco, I also struggle to find people who are running RIP.

Ok so an update for this... Did some testing involving a 2620 Router and a 2611 Router. Loaded several versions of 12.2 on the 2620 and wasn’t able to recreate the crash, however had several issues just with creating, deleting and scanning for, operations in general. I then received several 2611's and loaded 12.3 on those…

In case anyone stumbles accross this... I had the same problem happening more and more, and it was legitimatly due to interfaces that had dissapeared. Then our VM team started updating VM tools on all the VM servers and it really started to throw this error bad. If the interface isnt removed from Orion before its removed…

So i just spoke to Cisco and the "show ip dhcp pool" command is introduced on the Cisco 6500 VSS in code 12.2(33)SXI4. oh goody, missed by one version level. :( Going to the dentist > upgrading a core switch. b-

At first stab I would say no, but I am no expert by any measurement. I would drop a line in the SDK forum about it.

If you happen to stumble across the char limit thing and find a fix please let me know.

ok thanks. I dont think we are at the level yet where we need an SE, but thanks for the offer. We have been in contact with Mr Hurst, when we get to that point I will remember to request and SE. thanks! -b
