This SAM template will perform a file download and capture the amount of time taken, together with the bandwidth performance achieved during the download.
Useful for validating the performance of the network for true file download speeds. Be aware that this is going to download a target file on an HTTP/S address, so use appropriately. Two example 10mb and 50mb file sources are provided in the script, which are located on the Akamai CDN and therefore 'should' be good references for Internet performance. Adjust the target to something and somewhere which allows you to test source to destination performance. When you assign to a server, it will run from the source machine.
