Thanks for the answer but thats not it - I cleared the counters then waited for the probelm to show itself on the graph again, after 3 more blocks of errors showed up on the graph I did the show interface above. Here's a new one still showing the same issue but the graph is for the last hour and the counters havn't been…

Is this still an issue on NCM 7.5.1 we're just looking at using NCM for vulnerability management but this issue may make it a bit of a non starter, I really don't want loads of false positives to have to validate because solarwinds can't detect minor versions?

Hi, Thanks for that he has siad he will setup a job to clear down that table (NPM_ScheduledJobJournal) every night instead of adding an index if the content is not used. He also said that there are no other indexes he wants to add but he wanted to know :- "how we should carry out index rebuilds (on the existing indexes) if…

Hi & thanks for the reply, Sorry I missed off some info :- we are on Orion 8.5.1 & once we are happy with the database we will be upgrading to 9 The SQL version we use is SQL Server 2000 Our SQL guy doesn't seem to think the size of the database is a problem as long as we add these indexes he's talking about, will adding…

Thanks for the help - that explains a lot! So my best bet is to upgrade 5.0 on my old server to 7.8.5 then do the database backup then copy it accross to the new server then do the restore & point 8.1 at it (I'll probably then upgrade to 8.5?) Just checking! Thanks, worto. edit - it's actually 7.7 we are running on the old…

Thanks for that - tried out the 30 day demo & we like it so just ordered the full package. cheers, worto.

nothing so far, it doesn't seem to be possible to set per path, I've raised it as a feature request over here if you want to upvote it https://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/8729

now for the SNMP i think it is ports 161 and 162 for it just make sure you are choosing UDP for it. Yeah thats what I thought but with both ports (udp 161 & udp 162) allowed through it still shows all the ports as unknown unless we allow ip hummmmm...... worto.

Hi, Yes I guess it's the amount of pixels but that's not really the issue, I was juts trying to get across that it's a screen on a wall and not on someones desktop so it's put up there and left to rotate around various views. I can't get it to either stay in live mode or not logout. I raised a case with Solarwinds and was…

Thanks for sharing!

I'm seeing this too, has anyone raised it with SW? It doesn't happen to all netpaths but we have some that show high packet loss and from what I can tell it's not a real issue. A tcping on the same port shows no packet loss & there are no complaints from customers whose traffic would be using this route.

This is very annoying and has been a known bug since at least may 2009! https://thwack.solarwinds.com/thread/26270 every time I add anything new to my map all of the labels move meaning I have to manually put them back in the right place?
-
Same here also the little window at the top left that pops up and I have to click on Got it! Every time I open Solarwinds.

never mind this link was better https://support.solarwinds.com/Success_Center/Network_Performance_Monitor_(NPM)/Add_a_custom_view_to_the_Orion_menu_bar_shortcut I'd missed a stage out

Hi, Apart from the usual hell of having to manually go through 180 * Catalyst 37xx switch stacks adding the right dates due V2's\100's\Gig's\mixed stacks\X's all being picked up the same I've noticed the riverbeds are missing Device Type : Steelhead: SHA1050 (part number SHA-01050-BASE-H) System description : Riverbed WAN…

An update on question 2 2) We score the CVSS using the following Critical : 9.0 - 10 High : 7.0 - 8.9 Medium : 4.0 - 6.9 Low : 3.9 or below but NCM doesn't seem to have a critical section, it just considers everything above 7 as high, is there somewhere I can configure this as we have 7 days to fix a critical vulnerability…
