jnathlich12 WOW!! That looks EXACTLY how I imagined it should look. That would make it super easy to look into trends over time, across everything at once. So, it simply builds a new/separate graph for each result of the query in the file?
-
jnathlich12 Well, I will go ahead and vote for the repeater option, if you are accepting nominations... As I desperately need that functionality, and your graphs look, and work, way better than mine...
-
jnathlich12 I like it, and I definitely want more of it! c.gura Here is another custom Highcharts guy... Y'all can start a club now... Great job! -Will
-
dgsmith80 I reckon I'll leave that one to the folks in the know... serena cobrien
-
dgsmith80 I think the RC versions require all licenses to be valid through the end of quarter, or something like that. I had a similar issue during the assisted upgrade, and they had to do some sort of temporary license magic.
-
Never mind, a closer look at the screenshot appears to have answered my question... Looks great!
-
serena That health tab looks like it is jam packed with good info! Will we see that on/for the main install too, or only for additional servers?
-
kgonz Glad you figured it out. I also set mine to 50, along with a copy of each of the sizes in this file. I have found that, when I add the new resources that require me to rerun the config wizard, I go ahead and make multiple copies of that resource, in case I want to tinker with it later. By doing this, I do not have…

kgonz My apologies, Kelvin, as it appears, the original file I had uploaded only had half of the needed files. The original archive was missing the entire, "\inetpub\SolarWinds\Orion\NetPerfMon\Resources\Misc\" folder, which is the folder that houses the actual resource files. I have re-uploaded a completed archive, which…

ecklerwr1 Yeah, Cisco is so nice and thoughtful, changing things the way they do... Moving the known, into the unknown... Thanks Cisco! Best of luck with your evil report problems... just remember... Do, or do not. There is no try...
-
irishjd Glad to hear you got everything working.

Here is an alternative method for building sets of graphs, fairly easily, and without the need for very much customization. Using PowerShell To Automatically Provision A Series Of Graphs Per View

ouberlord geez!! why don't you put some time, effort, and thought into it next time... Jokes aside, this is a very nice, informative, and helpful, posting of knowledge and experience... Well done!! Mustafa Topaloglu Unfortunately, I do agree with you. It is only unfortunate in the sense that a customer had to create the…

antonis.athanasiou Okay, I followed your advice, and the results were just as you said they would be. You definitely delivered me an Episode VII: TFA, for which I am grateful! I can't believe that silly little file is the key to all of this... Amazing! You have really made my day! Thank you, -Will
-
antonis.athanasiou Impressive? Nice work? Nah, it's just a bunch of stolen ideas and work done from others that were pieced together by me, having a total lack of knowledge on the matter... But thanks anyway. In regards to your .NET code tips: a) ARE YOU b) KIDDING ME I want you to know that you have just inflated my…

c.gura Well, from all of the cool and useful things I have seen others do, I do not feel like I am anywhere even remotely close to becoming an expert... However, thank you anyway. If you have any tips on improving this functionality, and you have time, please let me know. Thanks again, -Will
-
rschroeder Sorry, can't help you there...
-
irishjd I actually ran into the same issue, however, I believe my issue was due to my poller having different IPs represented in the engines table and the nodes table. To test, I altered the query in the report to join the tables by engine.servername=nodes.caption. BEFORE: left join nodes on engines.ip = nodes.ip_address…
-
rschroeder How's it going? Are you making any progress? Working on any SQL/SWQL projects yet?
-
rschroeder If you have access to a vm, then I would recommend you setup a VM, install the modules you currently use, backup current DB, and then import db into new VM environment. (or just export the nodes table, and put it into the VM db. Then, you can play around without worrying too much about breaking the important…
-
irishjd Did you figure this out? I am curious to hear. Thank you, -Will
-
rschroeder, you're already here... Being a fellow non-SQL'er, I searched, asked, read, asked, searched, etc... right here on Thwack... and Thwack Nation delivered... I did have numerous real world requests to fulfill, so I was on a fairly direct path in my journey for SQL knowledge... However, I found one question/quest,…
-
irishjd Also, see what you get when you alter the main JOIN part, towards the top of the query. Before: "join nodes on engines.ip = nodes.ip_address" After: "left join nodes on engines.ip = nodes.ip_address" Thank you, -Will
-
irishjd On the polling server that is missing from this report, does that server have multiple NICs/IPs? One of our polling servers only had a single NIC/IP when it was originally added into NPM. Since then, we added another NIC/IP to it, now using both. After that, NPM started showing the second/new IP as the IP for that…

All for the cause, nickzourdos! It looks good, and thanks for sharing.
-
CourtesyIT It looks like things are coming together nicely... Great work, as usual! goodzhere I have been meaning to get more experience working with our config change templates, so I will be working through your content, learning what I can. Thank you!

aLTeReGo No sir, I was thinking more along the lines of custom properties tied to the actual PerfStack project itself. Just the same as you would do for groups, or reports, or alerts, etc... Just something I could filter/select projects on, rather than a manual naming schema. I need a resource that shows the users a list…
-
aLTeReGo, cobrien, serena Any chance we will be able to use custom properties with these PerfStack projects? Any chance we will be getting a new "PerfStack Projects List" resource, allowing us to list, filter, sort, etc., based on those new PerfStack custom properties? Thank you, -Will

hcy01uk You always do great work. Well done! I will be setting this up shortly. Thank you, -Will
