Wondering what changes there will be to thwack too, hopefully they aren't bad
-
how often are you polling the devices or has this been an ongoing problem?
-
I just tried to recreate your problem on my own system (cuz i'm practicing setting up alerts anyways ) and can't seem to get the same result. I have mine send me an email every minute and i poll every 2 minutes. After I ack one of my alerts i never received an email again from it. Any other settings?

Don't forget that they also have some SolarWinds virtual classrooms on their site Just log in to Customer Portal Login | SolarWinds with your SW Customer info. Its under the "Support" Tab ^^
-
Funny that you ask, b/c i've been trying to do more research as my boss has also asked me to find out more about obtaining a second polling engine

not sure if this helps, because i'm pretty new with this NPM and Network Atlas, but i stumbled across this: On the bottom left at least on my screen, if you check include link labels and show link speed it'll auto populate the speed and color in the different connections. Hope I helped out in some way ^^

assuming you are generating the emails via alerts, you could just disable alerts on that specific alert on the manage alerts or that specific trigger action Or if you are aiming at specific nodes you could unmanage those specific nodes to suppress the alerts *Edit - After reading an earlier post, just check under action…

Congrats on the milestone! Hope i'll catch up to ya in 3 years from now

I think they are just once a year? I hope they are offered more than that tho

Its probably due to their maintenance last night, apparently they were getting alot of spamming so they probably put that in place to prevent people from spamming. It's a bit annoying though, because I commented on something else then wasn't allowed to comment on something else right away >.>

I found the alert ack variable, but when i use it it points me to a different port, any idea how to fix that? i've been digging around the database management and checked on the Websites under netperfmon tab and didn't find where i can edit that record
