If you are running on SAM 5.2 and above you will have "Real-Time Event Log Viewer" why don't you use that to configure this monitor of yours. Its much more simple and easy now, you would find this on the Node View.
-
Check if the citrix application fail logs an event onto the event logs - if so even though this is a little trivial you can monitor the event ids for failure using SAM

Hi scvvuuren , at this point of time I can't remember where exactly I read through this issue, but then from what I understand keep frag < 90% on the table indexes. You may have to manually trigger a re-index on the DB tables. Please go through the below links ( Hope it helps) http://thwack.solarwinds.com/thread/57544…

I am not asking you to setup a new alert - i understand your alert works fine, I am assuming your email id's are stored on trigger action of your existing alert, just select your existing alert -> click on edit -> go to trigger actions page and verify if you can see these email id's on trigger action page. Is this how you…
-
Just edited my response, can you check trigger action -> email 'to' field.
-
Can you check on the alert first as to how is it configured, open your node down alert go to trigger actions and check how is the email being sent, is it a distribution list or is it your custom attribute which is mentioned in the field. (Dont forget to cancel after you do all this searching dont submit/save the alert) If…

Could you paste a screenshot from the server which would list the apps that you would like to monitor ?
-
If my guess is correct, you may want to clear the old queue (Job Engine sdf) files and give it a try again.
-
Hi Josh, Good day , Howz the Job Engine process running? Do you see a lot of Job Engine V2's running on the poller ?
-
If this is a trap that you are talking about, get onto your primary poller (Open: Trap Viewer). You can set up alerts for the incoming Traps from there. Hope it helps
-
Hi du243 , the above mentioned alert will not work as you running them against 'Node Table' , when you are building a Custom SQL Alert you will have to consider the fields that are linked with the tables on DB accordingly. If not you will have to work with Joins to get them. Note: Your alert is against Node -> "Set up you…

Hi bharris, you are right I don't think this feature exists, its similar to the one mentioned below, once you check multiple reports these options are disabled automatically
-
Its a default behavior -> Service Control Manager and Real-Time Event Log Viewer It doesn't actually break anything its just that it would require WMI credentials, you can still use this functionality even though you add a node as SNMP. Just save the WMI credentials under SAM settings -> credentials, select the same when…

You will have to check for Volumes with Status '2' -> volumes.status = 2
-
I am not sure if you can do that (probably SQL gurus could be of some help if they have something like that), for now you will have to delete the old ones and re-add the new ones through list resource. But then as a work around you can create a custom sql report to find out the disks with issues (unknown state). You can…

I would rather go with a SAM template, in case you are using SAM in your environment please follow the below steps: 1. Im sure you are already monitoring your DB on your SW environment - if you are not monitoring the same add your SW DB onto SW monitoring. 2. Create a template using SAM - Use 'SQL Server User Experience…

1. Definitely yes (SolarWinds on Azure and it manages both cloud + on prem infra), I don't see a reason why it wouldn't work. You just need to make sure your Network latency is within limits. 2. If you decide to go with a Hybrid SolarWinds deployment like say APE on prem and Primary poller + DB on Azure or the other way,…

I dont think they are very different from the primary server , you would find it on online help though SolarWinds Online Help

As far as I understand you cant import multiple alerts at a time, but it would be a good add on feature if you can raise one as an idea.
-
SELECT Containers_AlertsAndReportsData.GroupName AS Group_Name, Containers_AlertsAndReportsData.GroupMemberName AS Group_Member_Name FROM Containers_AlertsAndReportsData
-
Yes, all advanced alerts would be suppressed for that node (Alerts wont be suppressed but then they wont get fired as Node would not collect data when its unmanaged). No need to add a Status!=Unmanaged If you think about a scenario like Disk or CPU (For sure they wont get fired as data wont be collected for them when node…

Hi there, did you give it a try ? Did the solution work for you @randal

Check for the steps under "Creating and Editing External Website Views" on NPM Admin Guide 1. Settings -> Customize Navigation & Look -> External Websites 2. You might as well want to check Settings -> Customize Navigation & Look -> Customize Menu Bars (to understand where do you want this website in place) 3. This Menu…

There was a similar question and a response from Leon Adato - check for that post Hope it helps

For now, check the below links - you would find a couple of more posts wrt the same http://knowledgebase.solarwinds.com/kb/questions/3115/Enabling+audible+alerts+%28Play+a+Sound+action%29+on+Windows+Server+2008 Re: Sounds on Down Alerts Re: Enable sounds in Orion

Looks like it does meet your trigger condition -> (Volume - Available space <= )
-
I have seen them in the past when volumes are removed, renamed or dismounted (I mean negative values on a volume), but in your scenario it could be different, I would suggest you to raise a case if you do not receive a response from others on thwack.

Check for the trend, does it always happen around 2:15 AM ? That's the default database archive time. Its probably because of the load on your DB at that time, I could be wrong as well.

I don't think we have a specific user account limit as such
