What sort of dependencies do you have in your environment ? Is it auto dependency or manually created ?
-
Hello @"DannyTran", Upgrade path suggested by @marlief22 is absolutely correct, loads of things have changed over a period of time from 10.4.1 -> 2020.2.6 Since its NPM, what is stopping you from creating it a fresh? I agree you can go either ways, either upgrade it OR Install it a fresh and import the customization and…

You should raise this with SolarWinds Support, raise a support case, could be anything, you might have to rebuild a service or clear temporary files, antivirus running on your SolarWinds servers could be hampering your Orion services etc etc
-
I dont have a system to test, but let me check, here found an old thread on this one https://thwack.solarwinds.com/product-forums/server-application-monitor-sam/f/forum/11856/sam-script-component-monitors---everything-you-need-to-know
-
try ${Component.Name} *Note* Use this variable ${Component.Name} directly in your Script body as this is Linux/Unix Script monitor, no need to pass it in Command Line.
-
Sorry not really sure about the ask - maybe you have to check if you can do this using NCM scripts. Is it something similar to what SEM does ? https://www.solarwinds.com/security-event-manager/use-cases/user-activity-monitoring
-
Hello @"aLTeReGo" The 2020.2.6 release no longer uses MSMQ (understood). If you have no other applications installed on the Orion server that are dependant upon MSMQ after upgrading to the 2020.2.6 release, you can safely remove… (what does this mean ? no other applications - is this related to Orion in any way or are you…

Track a User creation/deletion where, is it user creation/deletion on SolarWinds or is this requirement to track user creation and deletion on the end device that SolarWinds NCM is managing ?
-
No that isnt a feasible approach, but rather you could try deleting these nodes and adding them again in SolarWinds, but please make sure you capture all details that you need before doing this, I didnt want to suggest this but yes this might work.

1. Some tips on polling frequency and alerting What is your polling frequency ? I understand you check for your trigger condition every 1 min and you have a wait period of 5 mins on your trigger condition, but how many data points are you collecting in this interval ? This might sound a little weird but I am sure you know…
-
Do you have additional pollers in your environment, if you do re-add these 2 devices on another poller check/make sure this link is added and visible while you add the devices, dont disturb the existing devices, just re-add them on a different poller and then give it a try - let me know how it goes....... Pull these 2…

Ok I am assuming its an active/active cluster based on your comments, can you try the below OID's on these nodes. 1. On the first active device use 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.147.1.2.1.1.1.3.6 - I mean on the one where you are getting value 9 use this OID and leave it as is. 2. For the second active device…

Its good to raise a support case.

@"yumdarling" - Its always sad to see a friend/colleague leave something that she/he was part of, you will be missed for sure. All the very best to you, do well, stay safe

Done, thanks.

try username: admin & blank passwd

lol knew it

Cool @jm_sysadmin , looks like our friend @"zkahl" here works for a firm who indeed have stringent ITSM policies, I wouldn't blame him though

This is what I was talking about https://community.servicenow.com/community?id=community_question&sys_id=91768fe1db1cdbc01dcaf3231f9619a3 Hope it helps.

Sorry but just another view on this topic, I fully understand this option is unavailable at the moment but cant ServiceNow folks create a rule on their end ? When the incident state is set to New can't they create a rule which will clear the Assigned To field and make it blank ?
-
I don't see any issues here unless your pre-reqs are met but I Completely agree with @"shuth" and there is a similar KB post as well regarding the same, its always best to use SQL Account rather than a Windows one support.solarwinds.com/.../Additional-polling-engine-HA-server-cannot-connect-to-the-main-polling-engine
-
Just added start sequence as well, hope it helps.
-
Yup, if that is what you are looking for then you are correct, in older versions we use to follow the same procedure. Stop services on APE's and AWS and finally stop the services on Main poller. In your case 1. stop APE/AWS services 2. Then stop HA 3. Then stop services on Main poller…

If licenses are intact and if everything else seems fine in your environment then try running Config Wizard on your primary poller to fix this issue. But before you do that wait for other responses on this thread.
-
I will have to explore more on the same, yes I do see this but have never used it.
-
@yumdarling - Question 19 on the mission comes to this vote, I have voted yet on April Mission it says i havent and points werent added. Maybe a glitch not sure, just wanted to bring it to your notice.

And yes play around will Orion Demo, you might not be able to get into all the settings it has but you would at least start getting used to it https://oriondemo.solarwinds.com/Orion/Login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2F

1. https://www.solarwinds.com/resources 2. https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/success_center/npm/content/npm_getting_started_guide.htm Check Academy Tab, Onboarding & Upgradation Tab (There are a lot of elearnings and videos which will help, infact videos will lead you back into point 1) 3. Last but not the least…

Truly speaking I haven't ever encountered the first error that you have pasted, probably if you re-run the configuration wizard it might fix the problem but I am not 100% sure.
