Exactly, Something I learned a long time ago, always have a current "ready to go" Resume at hand.Never know when an opportunity could arise, (yes sometimes that opportunity was referred to being laid off... but even that you just need to look at it in a positive sense.)

Nice one, Eh! It's also kind of cool both our countries celebrate their inception so closely on the calendar. The heck with renegotiating free trade agreements we should be working on negotiating a joint holiday and BBQ. It could run from July 1st (Canada Day) right thru to July 4th (Independence Day). What a party that…

Oh Yeah - Reboot! It was pretty cutting edge, I think one of the first 30 minute all CGI TV Series on TV. Broadcast on this side of the border on the kids Network YTV and produced in Vancouver BC (just 30+ clicks away). Earlier this year they did announce a reboot of well, Reboot. ReBoot, the cult classic animated series…

DanielleH What's the deally with March 12 question? Looks like many have reported not selecting BNC Connectors (Like myself) yet we are getting the Dreaded Red X....

I grew up with an interest in things – all things… I always had a strong sense of curiosity in everything around me. Mechanical, electrical, Environmental, History… Yup Everything. So that led me to finding a lifetime long friend in the local Libraries. These vast Brick and Mortar stoic buildings of knowledge. Many…

Wow! Your Dad nailed it! Great words and a solid outlook on what makes a Professional more than just a skill-set, it requires a passion. Which by the sounds of it your Father has and evidently passed on to you. "If you're not 30 minutes early, you're an hour late," Something I practice I am always early for work, I like to…

Yes Governments (both sides of the border) have long been known to be the worst for selling/leaking PID, and worst of all there is very little that you can do about it other than putting pressure on your elected officials. There is, as the article states, big money in your data in the wrong hands, and those with access to…

Yeah not just you, I ended up double checking the Text - - just in case...

Maybe they meant Astrophysics - I would think that more likely than any Trekkie reading "Today's Horoscope".

You deserve to win something for those comments... seems some folks forget the real purpose of these missions... to Learn. :-)

Darn it... blew that acronym!

Ditto here but wanted to leave it for a day to see if it works itself out - - It didn't :-)

Well that is the question - Will they?

Yes that is true, sometimes spending time on the bike with the tunes playing in your helmet on the way to work starts the day off Just Right

Trust and Delegation - you’ve mentioned many apt points! Trusting another group (perhaps external to your Agency) never comes easy, especially if the road back “in-house” is neither viable or timely. The cliché “Getting all your Ducks in a row” I think is key! From a thorough assessment through research, investigation and…

I was thinking of going that route as well until I watched this and then did some research online.... We hired ethical hackers to hack a family's smart home — here's how it turned out | CBC News

Wow solid add to this Blog. It's quite funny that many Company's invest in their organizations in many ways but when looking at training, conferences and certifications do not see them as an investment, at least in IT. I see many other Departments that are invested in this way but IT it seems does not get the focus that…

Well said!. Getting points and swag is cool, but the investment I put into these once a day quiz questions is to learn, that little pop-up that explained was much more valuable to me than the 150 points (Hey I like the points too).

CiscoLive looked like it would have been a blast. Not too sure about giving the kids a years heads-up about your next attendance in 2018 though, sure gives them lots of time for planning (AKA Scheming ). They have some solid trolling skills....watch out.

Nailed it! Of course now I have Dana Carvey's Church Lady's Voice stuck in my head....

Your Teacher seemed to wish to make sure of the validity of the test, and perhaps even self-checking his/her curriculum to the Students. A very Wise Instructor who must have really wished that the Students got the most out of the class. I wonder if yumdarling could advise the troops here (fellow thwackers) if there is a…

Excellent points rschroeder, all of them are key to providing the best support possible while ensuring a burn-out rate is kept to a minimum. As a plus a new member of the team would have little problem hitting the road running, even though he/she might be new to the environment. Documentation and clear communication…

Very Zen-like... sort of along the lines of "If a Tree falls......"
