This image is from a slightly modified out of the box alert for high CPU usage. There is a check box at the bottom that will require that the condition exist for a certain amount of time before alerting. Another method would be to add an escalation to the trigger action after 10 minutes.

In the trigger conditions, in the drop down for "I want to alert on:", select "Group." This will give you the options to select which group name below. I believe this is new in NPM 12 though. I don't remember seeing this before.

My Info Sec guys just asked me why my Orion server is ping 1.1.1.1 and 1.1.1.2 every night at 11pm. I am not running NPM 12 yet, and it has been doing this for at least the passed month. Have you made any headway with support on this case?

When you go to edit the IP address, there is a field called "Scanning." Turn this off and your entries will not be overwritten.

It looks like you are using the default "public" string, and that is why it is coming up on vulnerability reports. You should be changing your default strings if you're using SNMP, or turning them off if you're not using SNMP depending on your organizations tolerance for security.

I am getting this as well. Same as you've described. The second time works, but usually the first attempt fails in the middle. I am running NPM 11.5.2, SAM 6.2.1, and a few other products as well.

I have mine installed on my laptop rather than access it from the server and I know I need to have the server address in the login window...any chance you're not connecting to your server when you open it?
