Could not agree more. Its time for SW to break the seal and they really need to get the next 2 or 3 releases out quickly.

Try these instructions http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/WebHelpDesk/docs/WHDSSL.pdf

I am not seeing this issue. IE 11 update versions 11.0.35 on windows 7 SP1.
-
Have you upgraded to 12.7 ? If so I am seeing this as well and I think its the way it works. The ability to reverse it to newest first would be useful like it sued to be. You probably should open a ticket to confirm.
-
In addition resolved allows the user to reopen a ticket if they click no in the email. Closed means its closed for good.
-
Is it possible that there is an action rule that includes a step where this user should be getting an email?
-
Not sure what build you are running but if it's 12.6.0 and you have NOT applied Hotfix 1 (WHD 12.6 Hot Fix 1 Release Notes - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support ) You many want to take a look. One of the fixes is "Custom Fields now save data in all situations" it seems likely this could be your issue. if you are…

How are your users getting into WHD? Are they local users, AD users, or open directory users? If they are AD or OpenLDAP you can fill in that information in their profiles. This is also useful as it could show in places like your email client such as outlook or Lotus notes as well. If you do not fill that information in at…

Next time please take an extra minute to search the existing enhancement requests first. I believe this is fairly similar to yours. http://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/2491

Are the FAQ's approved? Just because they are set to show to techs and clients if its not approved it wont show.
-
The survey piece in this software is very basic and I don't believe that there is any way to achieve what you sre looking for. You can look for feature requests here: Web Help Desk Feature Requests as far as I can tell there are a few for the survey function but nothing like what you describe you may want to create one.
-
WHD is not a password reset utility. The password reset will only work with users manually created internally to the WHD system. If you are using AD or Open LDAP you need to use other means to change the password. If this is how you are getting your users in WHD you should uncheck the show forgot password button.
-
Please resubmit this as an actual FR so users can upvote and comment on it. Create a forum post does not do that. To submit user vote-able feature requests please see this part of the WHD Thwack area Web Help Desk Feature Requests you can also search existing requests to upvote or comment on, please do this first to ensure…

Setup --> Surveys --> click on the survey --> scroll down and click new question in the lower left opposite the save and delete buttons.

A person does not have to be a tech to be in a CAB. Can you please elaborate on what you mean by a second level approver? Do you mean they are the second cab in a mufti stage approval process?
-
When we first go the system I thought the same thing but no you do not actually need separate accounts for each request type. You can use multiple but only need one. You will set that one as the default in setup --> email --> outgoing email --> chose the address --> default. If you want to use multiple you set up the…
-
In addition to setting the request type to auto cloase after X days check what you have the option called "Client updates sets status to" set to. If a user does not click yes but adds a not the ticket may be going to another status.
-
Go to setup --> tickets --> Request types --> choose a request type --> and look at the selected custom fields checkboxes.
-
I am not sure this is totally available the description for tech group managers includes this statement. "If auto assignment is enabled but no Techs in the group are available, the Group Manager automatically receives new Tickets until a Tech becomes available." So it looks like if its off hours where no one else has the…

I have used IE 11 on my Win 8.1 laptop and it seems to be fine with WHD. I also use IE 10 as my daily driver and have a window open pretty much all day every day and do not see an issue. If you are still using IE 8 on the other hand best of luck to you.
-
I am seeing the same thing my customer portal, you will likely need to contact support. I don't believe version pre 12.0.0 are even supported anymore. Also there are some changes to supported databases in 12.0 so ensure you are okay or have time for the migration.
-
I agree that the language in the description is confusing.
-
It is instant the issues appears to be related to Java caching. If you log out and log back in its fine.
-
This sounds like something you should open a support case for, this does not sound normal. Is your whole configuration getting blown away or just certain parts?
-
You are correct in that it is prepopulated with highligts about the currently installed release. I do not believe there is a way to change it.
-
your link is not working as it is looking for localhost.
-
I am not able to assist with the error but you may want to note if you are running 12.2 or a prior version. In 12.2 the tech side of the FAQ module was rewritten in a new coding framework from prior releases.
-
If you have spent months on this it might be time to give in and create a support ticket.
-
I see in your edit you figured it out. Also make sure you have updated to V12. As they updated the version of Java from I believe Java 6U12 to 6U26 and it to be better.

Are you stating that you would like to trigger the email when the approval process completes?
