That did the trick. Thank you so much for the follow-ups. Pie for everyone!

I am logged in as myself which is a domain admin. I could try as local admin and see what that does for me. Baring that I will attempt to copy both files somewhere else and make the changes again.
-
All I know is that it worked, and now it doesn't. So I looked at the misc folder and it only shows me 5 files (based on the changes that you Showed in the document you sent to me wluther. So I'm not certain where to go from here.

So I ran the wizard and it still failed, however when I went to look at the precompiledapp version = '2' updatable ='False' is what it showed. when I went to change the value to True it gives me a permission denied. Do I need to stop a service to get that to update?

Did that as well. No change.
-
Did not work. I still have the compile message.
-
So since I upgraded back in November, it has stopped working and greets me with The file '/Orion/NetPerfMon/GroupMemberAggregateStatus.aspx' has not been pre-compiled, and cannot be requested. (again) I have make certain that the pre-compiled is disabled. in the config file Anyone have any thoughts?
-
I was mistaken. there was a faint red sliver in the pie chart. so it is working for me.
-
I have the globes back but it doesn't show me any numbers for the servers.
-
What's odd to me... all I did was copy the files back to the proper location and it worked. I never had to re-run the configuration wizard.
-
This can be done without stopping services?
-
Step 4. which config are you referencing? The one you changed in step 2?

same boat.

Here's the view that I find most helpful troubleshooting issues.

I am getting that invalid class when trying to monitor the Windows Deployment Services Server service. I don't see a counter to change looking at the registry so anyone have suggestions?
-
So I found this today, [reflection.assembly]::LoadWithPartialName("System.Version") $os = Get-WmiObject -class Win32_OperatingSystem $osName = $os.Caption $s = "%systemroot%\system32\drivers\srv.sys" $v = [System.Environment]::ExpandEnvironmentVariables($s) If (Test-Path "$v") { Try { $versionInfo = (Get-Item…

For whatever reason, patience, brain fart, etc. it didn't work, then the next time it popped out an alert it looked like it was supposed to. Thanks all!
-
So I tried that and it works, but how do you get the email alert to reflect that. It still shows windows service monitor. I have taken out the variable and tried a few different ones but had no success.
-
Was there any update to this?

So I have a sort of variant on this issue. In talking with the vendor Eclipse they don't use the default app pool. When I go into the server it is not started but they are worried about it causing some sort of conflict (I don't think it will but I cannot get them to see the light of day). Is there anyway to remove the…

It honestly depends on what the resource shows. Some of them are self-explanatory, others might need a bit more depth.

Can you create a custom property for those nodes say for example call it subplot. Then assign the term Production SQL Servers to that property. Then under the filter you can say Subplot = Production SQL Servers
-
Figured out that I had the wrong alert definition in there, however now when I try to go back to 30 days ago replacing DATEADD (DAY,-7,GETDATE... with DATEADD (DAY,-30,GETDATE the amount of nodes does not change

I've gotten it to work (albeit with a flaw which has an open ticket with tech support). Use Task Scheduler. Create a basic task. Importing a task does not work.
-
I just re-created the view I wanted. All Good.
-
I logged a support ticket yesterday.
-
none of them appear to be working now.

It's on the new one I just created (again). They were on the first go round of it
