Can you post on displaying in a guage? Also can you display multiple values?
-
I would also be interested in this.

I would also like to see more done with trending. I have over 3k devices and would like to specify a individual or group of devices to trend for utilization.
-
Ok....what has been your experience?

DUDE....I know your pain. My Director has doted on Solarwinds simplicity, reliability and accuracy versuses other more expensive monitoring tools for over a year. And today I still can't get it to alarm accurately on simple things like percent utilization. I mean how does the web console show high utilization but the…

Is the link dead...each time I attempt to reach the page I receive... The page cannot be found.

I had this problem with services. It would be nice if there were a maintenance window option or a way to have device unmanaged without losing statistical information. My solution was to use the Time of Day option in the alert. Not all of our servers reboot at the same time so from 6:00 AM - 11:00 pm alerts are triggered.…

Has anyone been able to add multiple devices to a custom mib and receive data for both on the web?
-
Our environment is similiar and what I have done is setup custom properties (using custom propery editor) for the different interfaces (Example physical, sub, loopback or tunnel we use two carriers for backup ckts so I identify them using the carriers name). Then on the Top 10 page I can edit (using sql statements like…

What we found was if you create the map on the screen you wil be using to display it, it displays sized correctly. If created on a desktop monitor and moved to a larger display it's too small.
-
When you created you custom poller did you select Keep real-time and historical statistics?
-
If you are still using basic alerts you would create one alert when down, check each device you want alerted on and on the suppression tab add the node you want to check status of. They don't have suppressions worked out in Advance Alerts but Basic still works Also you may want to stagger polling on your devices to aid…

I would suggest contacting support and requesting an additional license for a QA environment. I test everything by mocking it up in my lab. In a lab you can create failures by modifying your ip address.
-
A little more intelligence with Auto Discovery would be great. We monitor the loopback address of all our routers (over 1600) When discovery runs it will add existing devices forcing me to manually delete duplicates. Discovery should look at more than the ip address before adding a device to the DB. I hope that the import…

Just so you don't think you're crazy.....I have similar experiences with trying to get more that one syslog alert to work. If one starts the other stops. Never both.
-
I tried this and lost my web settings.
-
Were you able to figure out editing the web with alert updates?
-
Glad it's not only me....I thought it was due to the number of nodes I have on the map (1500+). The only way I've be able to resolve it is running the config. wizard, website only,...but as you said it eventually breaks again.
-
The syslog server was once a separate server. I would like to see it separated again for longer retention of data and less impact on the netperfmon db.
-
Basic Alerting: Property to Monitor Last Boot. Is that what you're referring to?
-
Will Report Scheduler be available in V8 anytime soon?
-
I am unable to get the Syslog Message rate to display. It does not appear to be available in my web console.

Link to thread....

Have you checked the sysuptime on any of the devices? That's what Orion is looking at.
-
I have been trying to get this also. Currently I am unable to get any bandwidth utilization alerts to work.
