I don't have exact specifics yet. Our Network Architect is in the final stages of planning our conversion from the ASA to FTD codebase. This was at about the same time I saw the announcement for "Insight for ASA". I opened a ticket with Support and was told FTD was not supported. So I just assumed that much if not all of…

Hi - can you provide any timeline on when NPM - Network Insight for Cisco ASA will support the Cisco FTD (Firesight Threat Defense) Unified codebase on the ASA? Thank you.

Rick - our Network is nowhere near the size of yours, but I'll throw out there what we're using (you may already be familiar with it). In Aug '18 we switched our SIEM to LogRhythm. One of their optional components is called Network Monitor (or just NetMon). They sell/license NetMon as an appliance or virtual appliance.…

We have a couple location-specific views that are basically an overview or health snapshot of that office. All of this information is also shown in other more company-wide views, but I like to be able to take a quick peek at a specific site. Includes Circuits, WiFi heatmaps, application monitors, VPN sessions, CPU, Memory…

bcurry985 - Hi, Did you find a solution for this? I'm seeing the same error on several Https monitors. They just started failing about 5 days ago, even though the sites are actually UP. We have the same DNS lookup error with the 'www. before the IP address. We are not using an agent for polling though.

That's mostly what we're getting, but it's ok for our requirements. We are using the Wireless Heat Maps, which are nice. If you have a floor plan for your building you can set this up with Network Atlas. You need to remember to set the scale of the floor plan and also run the signal sampling tool in Atlas for better…

Hi crzyr3d - We just started using CG SD-WAN in the past few months. I'm testing what I can get via SolarWinds on one of our ION3000's. I've enabled SNMP and SNMP Traps on the ION3K (see CG support portal for document called "Configuring SNMP" - can't post it here as you need support login). I have opened a SW support…

I've always liked Paessler PRTG. The FREE version now comes with 100 sensors. I believe that it is fully functioning with no restrictions other than the sensor limitation. I'm using it for my home network, but probably for a lot less nodes/services than you. I have PRTG setup (installed on Windows 2012 Server running on…

That's a good question. I've never seen a way to do that. I have been able to change colors on Multiple Object Charts. Showing bandwidth on a chart I was able to go into the Data series in the widget settings and change the color from "default theme, auto-assigned" to the colors of my choice.

If they have access (an ID) for the Customer Portal, get them setup for some of the Virtual Classrooms. The "configuring the Orion Platform" is a good one. There are both Live (online) and on-demand (recorded) versions. I liked the live version because the instructor was answering specific questions from the attendees and…

Here's what I have done for a NOC TV in my office. Repurposed an older Sharpe 50" TV (wall mount): * Connected (hid) on the back an Intel Compute Stick PC (Win10) and connected to TV via HDMI out * Compute Stick PC has Wi-Fi connection to local LAN * Launch Firefox or Chrome with SolarWinds and/or other dashboard services…

Bump. I'm also seeing this now. Two nodes in the green, no packet loss. Yet the dependency connection monitor is showing Pkt Loss anywhere from 55% to 89%. This is the default dependency monitor, not something I configured myself. In our case the two nodes are part of our SIEM/Security solution, so disabling Stealth Mode…

I think that I answered my own question. It looks like I can add custom thresholds and alert on their status. Success Center
