Liked, because that's one fewer person between me and my Alienware laptop ! But seriously, there were a few very hard questions, so I trust you are not alone in that.

I must admit I've had to fall back on trial and error on yesterday's clue. Knowing the first letter limited the possibilities quite nicely too.

All done and all good... I think... kind of lost track this month...

Hummus !? Nah... cut that in wedges, separate the two layers, oil both sides of the layers, spice to taste with your choice of salt, pepper, and herbs and cook on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper until crispy... perfect home made chips !

Reminds me of the concept of "Security through Obfuscation"... an unlocked hidden door is no more secure than an unlocked door in plain sight. A camera watching the door won't prevent entry, and once you know someone's in, what can you do about it ? Great article, thanks cxi !

right... sorry, here's the one :

If the moral code of an AI was based on the 10 commandments, you would end up with pretty messed up robots. Would they perceive polygamy as adultery ? Death penalty as murder ? The moral code of an AI has to be based on more universal laws than that. Problem is, there are no universal moral code. Should a self-driving car…

Yeah, but the worst is the idea that "nothing works" while in fact they just have to click "yes" one more times than they previously did...

Since I'm the first who claimed 5/5 on week 4 and I helped with my warning, I believe I'm entitled to the Slingbox 500... just saying. Just send it at the same address than the coffee mug I'm expecting...

Yes, politics and personalities, but there are also just plain bad business processes that doesn't expect teams to work together. Some teams might just get along fine, but the Plan doesn't give them a mean to.

Username, (Syldra in my case) and the points will be awarded after the mission ends (early Feb.).

Given I don't have much hair to begin with, I try to refrain from pulling them out...

I usually don't sleep a lot... but I can tell you, at 3 AM I am far from friendly in any circumstance.

No, Mark Doering, your comments (in the current page at least) don't give too much in my view. It's ok to "stimulate thinking", but pointing out where the answer is in the hint page is excessive I think.

5 on 5 !!!

I'll be following this discussion closely because as much as I would love to use our logs for prevention, I see no easy (and cheap) way to do this. Since only someone in the know could see the benefit of doing this, I guess the board might object paying for that.

"Hybrid Cloud" is, in my opinion, one of the most overused words in IT these days. When something don't sell, the first thing to do it the remarket it under a new name and see if sales are better. No innovation, no R&D, just new marketing of old concepts. What is Hybrid Cloud ? Let's start with what it is not : * 100%…

Network management is about being proactive. It's about finding problems before the users do. This is about the most important thing for us here. We want to be able to call the user saying "Do you have a problem with X, Y, Z ? I see some strange behavior on my end". It prevents out-of-hand situations and give the users…

You won't believe this : My help desk tech just came back from a remote site where the manager said that "Nothing works this morning". We've just had a major upgrade on our ERP last night, but all went well. Anyways, the manager claims nothing is working. The tech went through the ERP software, looked for error messages,…
