Any movement on this? We are about to replace our last 3750s with Juniper.

I will check that out.

Dell support confirmed that the m6220 was indeed discarding packets. Apparently, it was doing that all along, but there was a bug in the earlier firmware that was causing that information to not be polled from SNMP. I am guessing that could also be why you can't see the same information from the command line. The switches…

The problem turned out to be simple. I did not have the poller assigned to the device, just the transform. Now I have a question about displaying the poller on the web console. I don't want to display the original poller, just the transform, but when I select no on the web display page, it does not seem to save. Any ideas?

That is noticeable, but at least we are getting data. It is annoying, but OK for now.

Will do, thanks.

That would be good. When I started to look at it, I was comparing the way that an interface traffic chart has the dropdown box for view options that give you different time periods to choose from. Something similar to that on the interface Netflow chart would be sufficient. You already have the interface and node, so all…

I found the fix. I had a global servcie policy applied to the ASA already. Instead of creating a separate policy-map for flow-export, I had to add the class to the existing global service-policy. It started working after that.

That should do what part of what I want. The alerts on 'critical' interfaces is great, but I do not want to display nodes with a down 'NotSoMuch' interface in the Nodes with problems view. The bilking red box is something I would like to remove as well unless the interface that is down is 'critical'. Default event…

I don't want to revert back to what we were on before. The code that I upgraded from was 1.1.0.1 to 3.1.3.9 . Instead I just updated it to 3.1.5.4, we will see if that makes any difference.

I added all of the interfaces that I could see, in my case 9 of them on my asa5520, and still no netflow data. My ASA version is 8.2(1) and I installed SP2 for NTA yesterday.

I will give that a try. Thanks!

OK, Thanks for the info.

Any response on this yet?

I did move the connection to a new port on the Cisco switch, and also setup a etherchannel connection with multiple ports. Both of the ports in the etherchannel have receive discards. I will try using different ports on the Dell switch change the physical path as well. Thanks for the reply, this one has me stumped.

Nevermind, I just found the post with the instructions on the ASA configuration.

I was able to get this to work ^: Written by*

I found what I was looking for in the traffic view builder on the NetFlow Traffic Analysis Summary page. I would like some of this functionality on the interface detail page without having to build the chart completely with the traffic view builder.

I have installed SP2 for NTA 3.5, and also have 8.2 on the ASA firewall that I am trying to get NetFlow from, but still no luck. What is the correct settup on the ASA to get the NetFlow data into Orion? I am sure that it is just something simple that I am missing.

I am trying to ignore the same two lines, but did not have any luck with just the ^: Did that work out OK for you?
-
Can that be changed to query for a custom ANAME?
-
Thank you for the followup. That is what I was thinking, but I wanted to make sure that I was not missing something in the setup.

Traffic on the interface is also light, this is typical...

Thanks for posting this! I have to make an IP-helper change on some Cisco switches, and this will help me out a bunch.

We have not upgraded the IOS since the NPM update. The assignment was made with the UnDP app and gave us the temperature reading when we tested from the UnDP app. We had a similar assignment with the previous version of NPM, but it did not survive the upgrade process for some reason.

Thanks! I am not sure how I missed that thread. I found what I needed, but still have a long way to go before I am able to call myself a .net expert.... probably will never have the time to get to that poine. Can't wait to see what the rest of the community comes up with.

I don't want to edit the page content, but rather the time range for the chart data. If you click on the edit button on the conversations chart from the interface page, you don't have the option of selecting a time range. On the main netflow page, the top XX conversations chart for the overall network has many more…
