Thanks Larry. I think I understand that I could write a .bat batch file and execute that under the Program tab. But within the .bat file, how would I call the other individual jobs that I would write separately, one for each device?

filipv, Thanks for the suggestion. Can you find out what lines of code and what script? I'd like to try the same thing and I have direct access to manage the SQL database with SQL Server Management Studio. Swack

I opened ticket 120756 "Database Maintenance - Runaway SQL Job" and received 4 SQL files to run against the database. I'm on the 3rd one now, and this one I'm told "takes hours". :-) Once this is done, I'll run the 4th and then I was told to re-run standard Orion maintenance. Fingers are crossed!

Fantastic! Thanks!

I tried a repair as you suggested but I still show the same problem. Any other ideas?

Sergio, Those last two lines are all that I needed in my IOS switches to get it working with the latest NCM using SNMP Traps. I found the following to be pretty helpful: Configure real time change detection Patrick
-
Thanks Patrick. The NCM Config Change Templates accessible through the Orion Web GUI look promising, but I can't find any examples that show the output of a session. Any ideas?
-
What session tracing tool are you referring to? I am also having a problem with blank lines showing up comparing ASA configs.

What if we were given our own LUN for database and a separate LUN for SQL logs on the SAN? Would/could that be as effective as a huge 10-disc RAID 10 array? Maybe it's just me, but it seems like 10 disks would be really large compared to all the other servers we run here. Also, I've heard Solarwinds recommend RAID 1,0 but…

Any updates from Solarwinds regarding support for Orion NPM on Windows Server 2008?
-
Is there a way this can be tweaked per router, or just this global setting for now?
-
You should be able to do this in 9.0. Is this possible in 9.0 and/or 9.1? We're running 9.1 sp4.

I also am trying to generate a report based on custom poller data. In particular, I'm trying to show all serial numbers of all devices that I've gathered using several different custom pollers downloaded from Thwack. I created a Current Status type report but the "Status" field shows "Unknown" in the report. However, when…

The Yahoo zip file is not available at the link specified, and without it I'm not sure how to apply the code shown in the previous couple of posts. I'm looking for a way to summarize link bandwidth data into one chart for multiple interfaces, so I think this would be ideal for me. Thanks!
-
Thanks Greg. I've upgraded and will continue to monitor.
-
The links provided above are not working for me...is there an updated version of those links? Are those pages still available? Thanks, Swack
-
Have you gotten anywhere with your issue? I just upgraded NPM, NCM, and NTA and I can't seem to login to NCM. When I check the NCM database "users" table, all the usernames are a bunch of gobbledygook.
-
From Solarwinds Support: Go to: <installed drive>:\Program Files\Solarwinds\Orion and open the file called: swdebugMaintenance.log Scroll all the way to the bottom and if you see "Database Maintenance Complete", then it finished. I assume you should be able to "tail" the logfile to see how far along the maintenance is.
-
Also, what determines the listing for domains? Does it take into account the source IPs or destination IPs of the flows, or both? How does this change when there are multiple interfaces being watched for netflow vs. just watching a single interface on a router?
-
I've e-mailed a request to the engineer working on my case, asking that it be escalated up the chain. I also included a link to this thread so they can maybe start seeing the pattern of similar issues from multiple customers.
-
If this is the wrong place to ask, please point me in the right direction. I just added some of our Brocade and EMC/McData FC switches to Orion NPM. All show interface-specific data except for a pair of Brocade DS5000B switches. "List Resources" only shows lo0, eth0, and fc0. Any idea how I can get Orion to show me the…

Did you get this issue resolved? I just upgraded to NCM v6 also and all the usernames in the NCM database are SWEC_MGEGCSsGAQQBgid... a bunch of gobbledygook.
-
Any resolution on this problem? I'm running IPAM eval on a test NPM box and it's not scanning at all.

We are running NPM 9.5 SP4 and have a similar problem in terms of "SNMP OUTSTANDING' going through the roof. After the poller runs for a few hours we continue to see graphs for status polls but the graphs for interface statistics stop updating and "SNMP OUTSTANDING" shows in the thousands or higher. Stopping and restarting…
