I've always used syslog alerting for this. A syslog is logged when you pull out a power cable. Just alert on that syslog.

When you added the nodes, did you select the 'SNMP and ICMP' option and do the test to confirm your community string? And how long ago did you add the device in? As they take a little while to collect data and fill up the windows.

An easy way of doing this is to use a common word in all the interfaces's description you're interested in (such as office link). Then you use the built in view say "Percent Utilization of All Interfaces". Then Edit this view and add in something like interfacealias like '%office link%' And change the Title and you're done…

You could have 2 rules. Have the ignore rule first and set it to stop processing syslog rules. Then have the rule as you have in your image as the next rule and alert on it. That should do it.

There are 2 ways Orion displays the bandwidth. Either it gets the information from the bandwidth statement on the interface's configureation, or you manually set it yourself on the GUI for the interface in Solarwinds (others have outlined the process above). Is the 10.119.16.0 range configured as a /24? Sounds like it may not be.

Normally mapped drives are only available when an user is logged in. TFTP can run whether or not someone is logged in so it needs to be a local drive.

Does the original Availabilty - Last Month report work on the web console? If yes, can you see the devices you are trying to see with your filters?

Go to Message Centre which by default appears on the Home submenu. In there you can search all audit events for Solarwinds. Here's is what it looks like.

In the node properties, does it pass the NCM test? If not, you'll need to check them. But the Cisco 4507 normally just work fine with SSH. Please post up your NCM profile for one of these nodes.

It will monitor all the switches but not all the ports on each switch. I generally don't monitor access ports. I only monitor the uplinks and maybe an important interface here and there. Just be selective about what you monitor.

I use syslog alerting for this. I just look for a particular Message Type Pattern (e.g ENVMON*) and alert on it accordingly.
